He brought us phrases like:

You're what this show is all about.

You owned that stage.

You're like a young Adolf Hitler.

You are a superstar in the making.

You don't have the greatest voice but you're the whole package.

He has no discernable skill or talent apart from grinning like a drunken bullfrog while spouting insincere blarney. He has a chirpy, cherubic smile and the steely eyes of a contract killer. He loves you with his lies. Being turned over and done up like a kipper by Louis is no different to drowning in a tub of candy floss or being licked to death by a kitten.

Is he an idiot savant or has he just made fools of the rest of us?

We'll never know.

Louis Walsh. I salute you.

Find him hilarious in the auditions but he reverts to queen bitch mode for the live shows and gets right on my nerves

I think it's music he struggles with. He seems to get the industry part just fine.

Agreed, the man isn't any sort of judge.

I have a "tribute," for him, but it wouldn't be repeatable, or even printable in polite circles..

Rich.

Louis is irreplaceable and probably the most subtlely hilarious judge ever. The show NEEDS him.

Do you have any pets?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9Pt2_g7mvs

"The girls are gonna love you"
"You deserve to be on that stage"
"You have to become more likable"
"You made it your own"
You sang it like you meant it"
I think you could go far in this competition"
"you look like a Pop star, you sing like a pop star, you are a pop star!"
"You looked amazing, you sounded amazing, it was amazing"
"You've got the likability factor!"
" A Million % YES"
"And You're only 16"

He's the biggest music fan on the panel though. He has thousands of CDs in his collection and goes to gigs all of the time (and seems to have an opinion on every well known act in the charts).

I think the producers manipulation of viewers is mostly to blame for this rather than Louis. I'd have stopped watching long ago if he wasn't a judge.

I like him - far less ego than every woman judge that has ever been on.

Me too he makes me laugh and he always seems to be enjoying himself unlike others on the panel... esp borelow aka funsponge- from the bitch factor blog.

"You absolutely nailed it" (mind you they all have a habit of saying that but Louis says it like he invented the phrase!)

When you think about it, he's been involved in the best one-liners and funniest situations on the panel. He deserves an award for the "the ruuuuules" episode.

Louis will always and forever be my favourite XFactor judge (unless Rylan were to ever go on the panel). I adore him, he's so cute and hilarious.
