EE Xmas Plot
Any ideas what it will be for 2013?
I think I know what it will be, but if it is what I suspect, it will be a boring Xmas episode yet again. The last good Xmas EE episode was 2007. 2010 was okish but focused on Stacey too much... |

I doubt we'll have a good xmas episode this year. There is no drama or big story leading up to it.
Inevitably, it will focus on Kat and Alfie's reunion. |

2007 was the last outstanding Christmas Day episode. 2008 and 2009 were quite good, 2010 was excellent. 2011 and 2012 were very poor! Hopefully 2013 goes back to the 2008-10 standard at least!

Hasn't Alfie and Roxy's wedding already been filmed and isn't that where Alfie and Kat reunited?
Well, anyway, Mick & Linda will arrive sometime near Christmas which means that Shirley and Tina will already be on our screens so maybe they hatch a revenge plot against Carl which leads to his exit. The aftermath of Michael's death is also sure to have a long-lasting effect. I would like to see Sharon and Phil reconcile only for a mystery letter revealing Phil's involvement in Dennis' death. That would be good. Also, maybe Carol realises that she loves David and always has done which results in an emotional exit for Masood. For the New Year's plot, I would want a huge natural disaster, like a flood or a big storm and that is also a good way to kill DTC's axings. The aftermath could be huge, if done right. |

Was 2007 the Stax reveal? Because, if so, that was the best! What were the other years' big events (2008-2012)? I can't even remember now.

Maybe Mick Carter has a lock in at the Vic on Christmas day and they all play charades while Dot does some karaoke.

I can exclusively reveal that the Christmas Day Episode will be a two hour long special which resolves the biggest who dunnit the show has ever had, *drum roll please*
They will reveal who has been leaving the rubbish outside of the B&B. Viewers will be shocked at the culprit and Walford will never be the same again! |

such a shame she didn't stay with the show - she was great.2009 had Archie's murder, 2010's Stacey exit, 2011 Yusef/the Masoods B&B fire. 2012 was Kirsty turning up and it being revealed she is Max's secret wife. I'd go as far to say that the 2012 Christmas Day episode was the worst EastEnders episode I've ever seen (admittedly I have stopped watching and only seen a handful of episodes over the past year) but you can usually guarantee a string of decent episodes over Christmas with EastEnders, but last year didn't hit the mark at all. I hope there's at least something exciting happening on Christmas Day this year. |

Wonder if there will be a Xmas death this year? Seems to be a bit of tradition now.

What about Shirley? She disappeared remember and is not in Greece. Perhaps Xmas will have Phil rescuing her and Carl finally getting his comeuppance.

If this has anything to do with Joey's exit this will be one of the worst.

Christmas in EE has been like the day itself for quite a few years - all the hype then totally underwhelming. Stacey's exit was a good episode but not much of a Christmas event; it was simply Stacey's last episode and could have been set on any random day. The whole selling point of it's traditional festive catastrophe is watching the special family day go horrificly wrong lol, which has been missing for quite a few years. I guess it will be the 'Kalfie' remarriage this year, maybe with Roxy announcing she's pregnant for a bit of contrived drama?
