Having bought a cheapo pair for WH Smith circa a month-6 weeks ago only to not now work (!) can anyone recommend a decent cheapo/slightly above pair?! - ones lasting more than 6 weeks! I do not want the large going over the head ones. Thanks.

Be careful of the many fake Senns that are for sale.

Not dissing Sennheiser - they make some great phones but plenty of others to try, for instance Soundmagic that I have had recommended to me and Klipsch that I currently use

Creative EP630 (or EP660). Again, be aware of fakes, especially on eBay!

Thanks. I think I just need something just above cheap and cheerful. Ideally I would get more than 6 weeks' use from them!

deleted - I mentioned the more decent proper headphones.

I use in ear too, and they simply do not compare.

Cheap and cheerful? I've had these ones nearly two years.

The bass is a bit heavy, but great for under a tenner.
