I have a Digihome DTR 0207 which has started playing up over the weekend. Keeps losing stations and continually initialising and check disk. Even when used as tuner. Tried first time installation but still no improvement. Looks like it's destined for the bin unless anyone has a suggestion. One other question - any ideas on whether the recordings can be saved and transerred to another machine or a pc. Thanks

i'm not over familiar with that model. but it looks like one of the older ones that is based on the goodman firmware?

i don't know if it would be causing the resets but definitely the losing channels. there is a sort of problem with that generation of box that they only have the ability to store 100 channels. which was fine at the time but now it's not enough.

things to do. disable the firmware update check. that ship has sailed and searching for them is a problem.

secondly do a complete scan. and delete any channels you have no need for, the subscription channels, babestation, the jewlery channel.

finally if you are missing any channels look up your transmitter:
like if you were on the sutton coldfield transmitter you'd look here:
http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SK113003
and if you were missing say E4 you'd do a manual scan on C46

I've a Humax PVR.

When swapping between live TV and the menu, if I work the remote too quickly, it will occasionally stop and re-set.

I think the rapid working of the remote confuses it.
So if I'm actually recording something at the time, I have to start the recordings again. I also lose all the programme guides for a while.
But it isn't that much of a problem.

Member @Futaura maintains a webpage devoted to Vestel-built PVRs, which the Digihome DTR0207 is one. It is the T816 variant as sold by Tesco, with 80Gb HDD.
As such it should be possible to link the HDD to a PC IDE interface and extract the programmes, see guide on digitalspy here.
