Nobody stands out, there's no camp factor like Rylan or Wagner to keep it fun. Just very boring and so-so. No stars here.
Anybody agree? |

Yes. It's a complete borefest this year. No stand out acts.

They had stand out acts in the auditions though. Lydia Lucy was excellent I thought.
I just think there are far too many 'also rans'. I just don't get why so many have nothing coming close to the X-factor. Tamera is the only one who I think has world wide appeal. The rest are destined for cruise ships and holiday camps. |

From what I can see the clowns, sorry producers, deliberately decimated the field in order to guarantee a win for Tamera, but that seems an incredibly short sighted strategy and has left them with a dud of a series.

Anybody agree? Totally agree with you. The line-up is poor this year. Rough Copy, Hannah and Sam Bailey are the only acts that are actually interesting when they perform the rest are just average pub singers in my opinion. Can't believe Nicholas is one of the favorites to win!! Don't get all the hype about him. He's Joe McEldrey MK2. |

I like Nicholas but I can see Luke overtaking him in the later stages. Maybe partly wishful thinking as Luke is in my top 3.

I've felt that for the last three years or so. The last time I was truly excited about X Factor was the year it was the Matt vs Rebecca finale.
I think the format of all of these talent shows is very tired at this point and could do with resting, or at least less of them. |

You know what...I don't Luke's vocals but he actually comes across as a normal lad and if I'm honest I'm beginning to put Luke as the best of the boys - he is slowly coming up the pecking order - I find Nicholas extremely dull

Luke's strong identity could be what might help him overtake Nicholas within the coming weeks. I can see the attention Nicholas is getting dying down in the weeks to come he is a front runner for the time being but we might have already heard the best from him.

Totaly agree with the OP, it really is a shocker this series. I'm never one to bash the X Factor, I want it to be great but the lack of talent / star quality from the contestants is just making it so boring. I do like the judging panel though, and the 'seats' twist at bootcamp made it feel more exciting... it's just been downhill from there though for me.

At the start I thought Sam B and Tamera were the ones to watch but Luke has really grown on me - he's quirky and a bit different. Hannah has a strong voice but for me she's too shouty and I don't find her particularly likeable. I think Nicholas is hugely overated.
It's not a great year but there have been worse imo |

He could easily win the show, but would absolutely bomb afterwards. He's a spotty faced teenager with a good voice but zero star quality....at best he could make a go of it in a boyband.
