The Brig was actually at the start, if a storyboard image was anything to go off. Only they must have chosen to edit it so that you couldn't see him...

John Hurt?

That hand is attracting a lot of comments, though I want to know why there's a cable behind his left ear.

Just on the costume, you can briefly see that the waistcoat has a dark front that may also match the Hurt costume. There's a slight hint in a few frames of his gaiters as well, but that's really difficult to see.

I thought it was the Brig from inferno, he had the bandolier strap in that.

Looks to me as if it is part human part robot...like a Henry Hoover.

The stance of the upper body looks a bit..er...mannequin like.

Considering that it's the last person we see before Tennant/Smith it just would seem incredibly strange to me if that person wasn't John Hurt.
