Sam won only because the British public didnt want to give prize money to Dexter and Gina. The absence of facebook voting made the difference.BB fans cant vote for Sam but without facebook they cant stop the general public vote.Aaron BB12 was voted to win by organised campaigns on forums and facebook mainly who used lots and lots of facebook votes. If it wasnt for that Alex Rose who played similar to Sam would have won.People like Dexter can only win if core BB fans have their way.

I definitely understand what you mean, reader. I know on the BB USA version, the editing of the show is always really skewed by production (as proven by the live feeds) and I get that the same could easily be said about BBUK given the fact that they have to compress a full day's worth of footage into a 45 minute show. However, that being said, I did think that the editing was actually pretty fair for the most part as everyone seemed to be shown in both a positive and negative light at one point or another (overall, I thought that the editing was fairly balanced). In terms of the producers pushing for Sam to win in the last two weeks of the show, I personally didn't see it that way at all. I actually thought that Sam looked way worse when he was confronting Dexter about the money task than Dexter looked in that situation (I especially loved how they ended that episode with Dexter's epic DR where he basically called Sam out on of all of his crap (I absolutely loved it lol)). I mean, I could see that Dexter may have been viewed as the "bad guy" while Sam as the "good guy" in that situation but I personally thought that Sam came out looking like a spoiled, self-righteous brat who was offended that his decision of choosing the 100 grand was deemed as "selfish" by Big Brother and therefore decided to vent his frustration by attacking Dexter. Maybe I have difficulty looking beyond my own personal bias when analysing the situation but I did think that Sam came off looking unnecessarily aggressive in that moment and I felt that people were using the results of the task as an opportunity to target Dexter once again. Also, in terms of the editing, I have to say that I never saw Sam as a particularly nice person; it seemed like whenever he was on screen, he was either making a lame joke, providing an offensive sexual remark or being harshly judgemental. The only "proof" that Sam was a nice person was the fact that all of the other housemates said that he was a nice/lovely person. Therefore, I think that the editing was relatively fair because I didn't think that it ever showed him in an obviously unjustly great light--but that's just my opinion.
![]() I think the fact they chose not to show Sam's lewd remarks against women says it all really. I think even Dexter mentioned it on occasions as did one of the others. Also the horrendous remarks made towards Dexter by Callum that was witnessed on LF ; http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...8#post67520758 Hope the link works. This was never addressed by BB at all, also it showed what state of mindset Callum was in. Yet Dexter got hauled into the DR for saying something minor whilst in the task about Sophie, do you remember. Just unfair at times. |

Sam was NEVER a hero, no matter what edit they did for him. No edit could hide the fact that he came across as a total plonker and was nasty to Dexter in the final few weeks. The worst winner in BBUK history, bar none.

I think that the way some of us view BB in the last few years, is based on what we have seen on LF and what they actually and how they edit it in the show.

I know there have been boring winners in the past but they brought something to their year it was just that others brought more and deserved it more, but Sam did nothing which is why he will go down as the worst of BB. I never even watched his interview or him leaving the house, as soon as Dexter's interview was finished I switched it off and tuned back in when BBBOTS came one Reading over that thread again I remember how angry I was that night, which lead to my big phone bill to get him out Callum had well and truly lost it and was playing a very dirty nasty game, the smirking p*ssed me right off

So true, there was so much lewd comments Sam made that the casual HL show viewers never knew about, that's what she's me so angry about his win

The only way BB could make it a level playing field for each of the HM's in future shows, is to strip it back to basic completely. Absolute NO CONTACT AT ALL with outside world. No crowd noises on evictions so HM's can gauge popularity and vote accordingly. They need to suffer more (I know I am a meany) when they fail tasks and have to rely on basic rations. No make up allowed, they are not on a fashion parade unless they take some as their luxury item. Also they need all night tasks as they used to have to stop boredom. NO face to face noms and no discussion of noms, again this gauges popularity actually in the house. And 24 HOUR LIVE FEED. Also if someone says they want to leave just once......open the door straight away and send someone else in. After all, BB is supposed to be a social experiment not a popularity parade. HM's always trying to guess everything totally spoils it. It just does not come to any of them as a surprise any more. They need to act together or try to on very little luxury at all, I mean what the hell, you just constantly saw the girls spend hours doing there make up and straightening their hair, what is the point as viewers do not want to see that. They really need back to basics. |

Just a bit off topic guys but it includes Dexter as well.
Just been looking at updates of the weather. Take care and be safe tomorrow and into Monday wherever you are, especially those in the South with this storm coming. Hopefully, it will be just Rainy and thundery rather than the winds.

Finally, in terms of Sam winning in the end, all I have to say is that I think the voting public made a mockery of the show by allowing the dullest and most invisible housemate of the season to take home the grand prize. deserves to win.

Fingers crossed it is nowhere near as bad as forecast. I am the only one in my road with a tree right outside my house. If it falls, I am in big trouble because, earlier this year, I cancelled my house and contents insurance as I just couldn't afford it any more. If the tree falls I shall be looking for a tent
![]() Aww jean.......fingers crossed it will not be as bad. We have large trees in our front garden and some that are near to the house as well. Could kick myself really as not so long ago we had someone knock to ask if we wanted them cut either back or down completely. We said no at the time as we had intended in phoning and arranging them to be chopped down anyway, but being busy we never got round to it. Hope everything will be ok and for everyone else. Please stay safe. xx |

Very unfair and biased at times.
