She's making me feel a little uncomfortable with the paedo stuff and begging Louis. To me it seems like contempt for the audience and the contestants. I know they're a bit short on talent this year but Sharon behaving like a drunk isn't the answer, is it?

Entertaining...to an extent. The paedo line was out of order I thought, but the sexual favours thing last night was pure panto.

I can't see why people say she's the reason for any decline in ratings. There are other issues that need addressing before Mrs O, imo.

I'd say she was both embarrassing and entertaining.

It was all rather bizarre..she's a complete loose canon.

As for her people saying she's the reason for any decline in the ratings, well, that's been going on for years, the show is never, now going to compete with Strictly..and for good reason.

I think she's been brought back in a desperate, last ditch attempt to "steady the sinking ship," but has ended up dragging it down with her..

IMO, the whole thing needs a complete overhaul, bringing back "old," in every sense of the word, judges, isn't going to make a blind bit of difference..she hasn't saved it, neither would Tulisa/Cole/Minogue etc.

Trimming off all the unnecessary stuff that delays the "action" might be a start, it goes on and on and on..

I've long since given up watching the show, even, recorded, from start to finish..not only do I flick through the ads, I totally avoid all the hyped up intros of the judges, the long drawn out interviews with the contestants on Saturdays and the dreadful group numbers on the Sunday..

In fact, on Sunday, I barely watch 20 minutes of the thing in total.

Rich.

Entertaining, of course.

It surprises me how seriously some take this weekend entertainment show - folk banging on about professionalism, contempt for the audience, outrage at the mildest of sexual innuendo and so on.

There's more than 5 channels these days - surely these miserable viewers can find something else to watch, rather than hoping that XF will turn into something that it's not.

I said I wouldn't watch this year because I remember what she was like last time. So far all I have seen is Hannah's auditions on youtube (just the singing) and the first week of lives (with a lot on mute). I had last night on but it was so silly it was pretty much on mute the whole time (just waiting for Downton ).

'Joking' about paedophilia does NOT constitute 'mildest sexual innuendo. It surprises me how flippantly some discount such a reference especially following the recent proven links between those who used to present weekend entertainment shows and the exploitation of people involved in said shows. And don't you DARE minimalise my views by suggesting I 'find something else to watch', you patronising so and so.

She is a total embarrassment but I actually find it weirdly entertaining. Car crash tv at its finest. Much better than Tulisa sat there looking glum all show anyway.

Of course joking about paedophilia doesn't constitute sexual innuendo, mild or otherwise (I don't know why you assumed I'd used the term wrongly) - I was referring to her behaviour with Louis on Sunday night's show, which has been blown up out of all proportion.

The paedophile comment was just a joke. Some will make jokes about such things, others wouldn't dream of it.

And those who will should not be allowed anywhere near prime time television. Simple as that.

It's all part of the script - even Louis' joke about Luke sailing through to next week - it was probably why he was given a boat, so Louis could come out with that

Unless Louis really is quick witted

I do think Sharon likes to go off the script though - she's a bit of a loose cannon

Didnt Lady GaGa say something like this as well . It will be interesting next week when Gaga is on the Sunday night show. I wonder if Mrs O will hold her tongue and give Gaga a lashing live on air...hope so

Let's see what happens. She's got away with it so far, and if it stays that way (ie, if she's not asked to apologise) then it will prove that your views are not in keeping with today's idea of what is acceptable and what is not.

And that is when you need to decide whether the XF is really for you.

Sharon entertains me so much, I adore her and the show was never the same without her when she left before.

Sharon is and always has been a foul-mouthed harridan of the highest order. In her mine she thinks she is the centre of attention. YUK!

Cannot stand the woman, and she was a total disgrace yesterday on X Factor. For once I felt sorry for Louis.

Wish she would BOG OFF.

shes given the panel a different dynamic and things are more relaxed with her around. However, she knows nothing about the biz and this is reflected in her final 3 acts; none of which could win. they all had good voices but when she picked them I knew they'd be the first to go. she's now got one act left - she can sing but she looks like a middle aged frumpy mother

I was liking her but what happened last night was wrong. She shouldn't do anything that affects Acts waiting for the final decision. May be funny to her but its dead serious to them. Really not acceptable. She does feel its all about her. It's not, it's about the Acts.

Remember the 'fag ash breath' incident

Imagine if Sharon gave negative critique to one of Gary's acts and he said something like that to her - it would be like lighting the blue touch paper
