No and quite honestly I wish supermarkets would stop stocking outdated games for systemjs like the NDS. The 3DS id understand but the NDS has been out dated for a few years. Bloody stock Vita games and dont just sell the console.

TBF, stocking Vita games is a bit of a waste of space for retailers, that thing's so geared around digital distribution.

It won't be missed IMO!!!

Despite me being a massive nintendo fan I thought the wii was without a shadow of a doubt the worst console I've ever had the misfortune 2 own!!! ... Will never get over the 1st time I fired up wii sports & realised the wii was a glorified GameCube masquerading as a nextgen system .... awful!!!! awful!!! awful!!!

Here's a question??? .... which has the worst 3rd party support Wii OR WiiU???

I hated the wiimote!! ... It ruined 99% of titles that implemented it IMO!! (made me realise how much I prefer the humble joypad as my controller of choice! )

I agree with you completely. I thought the idea had the potential to be great, the implementation was rotten, the technology just wasn't advanced/accurate enough, even when motion+ came out some time later! Either that or all games were just too scared to really utilize true motions so you're stuck waggling and waving with every title.

The Wiimote WAS a gimmick. Yes, the Wii was the biggest selling console of the last generation, however, that was down wholly to the price and not the quality of the system. & Next Gen means just that. The next generation. How intuitive the system is, is largely irrelevent. Nintendo could of released a piece of crap that didn't even have 420p graphics and it would STILL be considered next gen.

Generally, I avoided the Wii for the same reason as Simon, Whenever I played a Wii game, I despised it because of the Wiimote. I recently tried playing TLoZ:SS and the controls were bloody awful and sometimes unresponsive.

Although they both use Wii Motion Plus... I've found using the Wiimote on Wii U to be much more enjoyable.. I'm not sure if they've improved the Wii U sensor bar or something, but it feels, to be, much more accurate and I've found Pikmin 3 a pleasure to use the Wiimote with though. But, whenever I've used Wii mode on my Wii U, I've found the controller goes to hell again though.

That really depends how you look at it. When the Wii launched, there was a MASSIVE community of mid-field developers who's focus was on making a game for a publisher as cheap as possible. And it's these guys who are responsible for the massive amount of crap that was made for the Wii.

But from the launch of the Wii until today, these smaller developers have pretty much disappeared. If they were still around, we'd see them launching all sorts of muck on the Wii U.

So the real question is; is the Wii U better off with or without them? Will the consumer eventually benefit more from the initial lack of software, as the herd has been culled making high quality software on the Wii U more visible when it eventually arrives?

Sure it was, but it was a very succesful one. And one that both Sony and Microsoft, after mocking it, copied completly.

No it doesn't matter, there's no more games coming out for it and it's been dead for a good while now. The Wii is overall my favourite console from this gen and IMHO the best console NIntendo have ever made. It's one of those machines I'll keep with me throughout the generations to come.

They probably don't see the need to continue to make it as their new console is completely backwards compatible, so you can still enjoy the awesome library.

That is what i was going to say. If people want a Wii, then just get a Wii U.

You can pick up a Wii for less than 100. The Wii U is 249. People who are thinking about buying a Wii more than likely won't make the jump to Wii U for 150 more. Besides, Wii mini is still in production, which you can pick up with games for around 80.

Let's be honest though, this has nothing to do with "Nintendo not seeing the point of the Wii now there is the Wii U", this has to do with Nintendo trying to corner prospective Wii buyers into buying their newer console in an attempt to improve sales.
