Most years that the votes have been revealed to us, there has pretty much always been one act that has dominated the vote pretty much every week (particularly in the early stages).

Year 5: Eoghan Quigg
Year 6: no stand out winner, split between Danyl and Joe
Year 7: Matt Cardle
Year 8: Janet Devlin
Year 9: Christopher Maloney

Will there be one this year?

I think it could be Nicholas thanks to the combination of the "mum" vote and the Scottish vote.

Sam Bailey and Nicholas could split it early on, which could make them easier to weed out if they're not the Plan A of the producers.

That's a joke. He's definitely not the producer Plan A. So he won't. Matt was at least individual and talented. Joe had a unique voice. Nick is generic, boring, nothing special about him whatsoever. I can't see him being Plan A.

Sam Bailey could be IF she shows she can be current. So far, she's EXACTLY like Tesco Mary.

So far I definitely think it's Tamera who's the producer plan A.

As for who is dominating the vote I think it's Sam B with Nick 2nd FOR THE MOMENT.

Lol what has plan A got to do with anything??? Matt cardle wasn't plan A and he won, maloney wasn't plan A and he won most weeks. Tamera won't get the publics backing so nicholas will become the winner when the producers realise they ain't gonna stop him

If I was to guess:

1. Nicholas
2. Sam C
3. Tamera
4. Rough Copy
5. Sam Bailey
6. Hannah
7. Abi
8. Luke Friend
9. Shelly

KR being 10th on the Saturday and obviously Miss Dynamix not performing.

Nicholas will win most weeks, and the occasional wins for Sam C and Tamera (probably once each)

Nicholas or Sam C will be in The Top 3 every week I reckon, with Tamera in there too. I reckon Rough Copy are around 4th, Sam Bailey/Hannah around 5th and 6th. The others like Luke Friend, the 2 groups and Abi will be in danger I think. I don't think they will connect.
I have watched enough X-Factor to know that two Boys with very similar demographics can't hover around the top this early.

They would appeal to different people. Sam C will have the teen vote, Nicholas will have some of the younger teen votes as well as the Mums and Grans.

Yes, but Nicky was pimped to the high heavens early on while Sam, despite the strong pre-show following (I think he supported Union J in the latter's tour something something), was montaged afaik and, as far as the average viewer is concerned, came out of nowhere.

Token?... Token?

Scratchy23, I'm disappointed that you would choose to label the peoples champions as "token acts". These are the contestants that the people loved and chose to support. And as Simon Cowell himself has said on many occasions, "I trust the great British public to make the right choice."

Anyhow, I'd guess Nicolas is the new peoples champion, with Samantha Bailey hot on his heels. GO LIL' NICKY GO!

They can only weed one out if that's the case, then whoever is left wins.

I think Nicholas will top the vote the most times but I don't think it'll be a clean sweep.

i can't really see it being one act this year dominating throughout. i think they're a pretty mixed bag, so i imagine who tops will depend on the night's performance. eg sam b one week, nicholas the next, then hannah...

Agree split between Nicholas and Sam B, the latter almost certainly won week 1 and the former probably won week 2 - those two will be at the front of the voting week after week for sure

Nicholas is surely doing very well in the early voting. He ticks all the boxes.

I disagree, they are token acts, who often undeservedly dominate the vote regardless of the fact that there are other contestants who are incredible. Every year we have some amazing talent which much of the British public don't get because they're different and don't chose to sing songs karaoke. These acts like Ella and Laura/Ruth don't dominate it's the other mediocre, karaoke singers who do.

One example would be Janet Devlin (although she's a bit different because there was something unique about her) coming first with the shocking I Want You Back performance, or Chris Maloney with the dreadful All By Myself/Alone or Eoghan dominating every week in Series 5 when there were 5 incredible girls! It's unfair and a disgrace.
