Sharon criticising Janine for being away from Scarlett
And dumping Scarlett on other people. Has Sharon forgot the amount of times she dumped Dennis the Menace onto Ian?

Janine left a baby on her own. Hardly the same thing.

Leaving your baby alone in the house, with a locked door, for an hour or so is not the end of the world, especially if it is sleeping soundly.

Although it comes across as bitchy and sanctimonious on TV - especially in light of Sharon's general behaviour of late - it was a perfectly realistic response. I don't know many people who wouldn't react in shock to somebody leaving their baby at home alone. |

We forget Janine's struggles a mother, her post-natal depression and metal abuse from Michael.
But Sharon giving Janine mothering tips was supposed to be rather ironic I think. Who on earth lets their child have an ice lollly at 8am? |

You should never leave a baby at home alone. Anything could happen.

It was never established that Janine had post natal depression, Janine claimed she had post natal depression but there's no proof of this unfortunately.
On a side note, worth noting that the director of public prosecutions has ruled that it IS okay to leave a kid in the house alone if you are affluent and white, as seen in the Madeleine McCann case |

Janine was reckless, what if that baby had decided to make a pan of chips?!

Leaving a baby in a cot for a few minutes, alone in the house when all your going is across the road, is not bad parenting per se. I'm not saying I'd do it but I'm sure we've all left our children in a locked car while we pop back into the house/pay for petrol at the station/pop into the corner shop and in reality this is no different.
Really they can't get into any more danger than if we were sleeping in the next room at night. |

Has Sharon forgotten she was taking pills while looking after Lexi. Acting all horrified at Janines actions, she needs to remember her own stupid actions before she judges someone elses.

You should never leave a baby alone - sleeping or locked in a room or not. Take a look at what happened to Madeline McCann. A child needs constant supervision.
Having said that Sharon is in no position to dish out parenting advice, even if she did make a valid point. |

Sharon had a bit if cheek dishing out criticism when her own parenting skills are questionable, to say the least. But she was right to be appalled. Leaving Scarlett home unattended was totally irresponsible, even if it was for a short time. Michael is right, Janine can't cope with "the child".

Then on another occasion, she overdosed again while she was supposed to be looking after Lexi, who was discovered by Phil playing with Sharon's bottle of pills. Sharon is not in any position to be criticising Janine when she has been so reckless while looking after a young baby. |
