Forgive my intervention, what baring does G.Fast have on EE?

Given the amount of money BT has paid for EE, they are still retaining the brand and its current setup for the forseeable future.

EE carries a lot of kudos right now, they indicated they wouldn't want to squander that. I suspect it will become one of the prize divisions of BT PLC, the other being Global Services.

Thanks for posting these, appreciated.

Has anyone collated / compared all 4 networks results for 2015, would be an interesting table?

Not yet as O2 and Three haven't reported their numbers yet.

It was confirmed a couple of weeks ago that EE would be cobbled together with a few UK bits of the Global Services business into a new division from 1st April.

BTGS isn't really a prize division - it hasn't shown meaningful growth for years.

I think BT will gut EE and make it into another Cellnet. It will still be better than all the other networks for a while but I think BT will screw it up

I don't see what's wrong with this? Or is everyone just BT bashing?

BT's influence still taints O2's culture even today. I think BT will make sure 5G roll out is up there with O2's 3G roll out.

The BT of today is different to the Cellnet days. They have plans to accelerate the 4G rollout, enable 4G+ in more areas, fulfil the ESN contract (that will require over 99.3% population coverage on 4G by launch)... They have invested heavily in BT Sport, have a desire to bid for Channel 4 if it's privatised... I could go on.

They had committed to the Emergency Services contract long before BT took over (which was just a few weeks ago). It is disingenuous to suggest that this was in any way driven by BT. EE made a contractual commitment and they will stick to it. Like wise their 4G roll out was committed to before BT took over.

BT want to customers to sign up to their BT TV, Broadband, Landline and Mobile network either via BT Mobile or EE. They want to tie customers into all their services by offering discounts if they sign up to all of them. This is why they wanted EE. Plus vertical integration via Openreach is an added bonus if they get away with it.

The BT of today is different is it?

So how is investment in future technologies going? Oh wait, they're still using copper.
