Could Jac Jossa be hinting at how all those characters leave Walford?

"Asked whether she thought the BBC1 soap needed reinvigorating amid press criticism and falling ratings, Jossa replied: “Yes, definitely. It does. And it’s already happening. You don’t know what’s to come but the cast does – we’re all planning this big explosion and it’s exciting. Our new producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has seen to it that change is going to happen quite quickly."

Could that BIB be taken literally?

That's what I took it to mean. Another 'explosive' Christmas in Walford

Haven't we had enough soap stunts this past few months? I've had enough of characters screaming at rubble, flooded cellars.

You stated you don't watch it anymore,
why are you moaning?

Are you the type of person who likes teen queen gate?

Why is everyone complaining, If it means killing of characters then so be it, They can't continue going the way their going, Something needs to be done and it looks like more characters are leaving which is a good thing

DTC has seen to it that ''change is going to happen quite quickly''.

There goes that old wive's tale about it taking months/years to effect change. Hopefully that lame excuse will never rear its ugly head again.

Soap stunts, not EastEnders stunts.

On the plus side, it does sound like he's scrapping any remaining Lorraine storylines and just finishing off the ones currently on going or coming up too soon to change. So hopefully we'll see the effect of his first stuff quite quickly.

Generally, it does. Diederick's EastEnders stuff didn't finish till the spring of the year after he left.

Didn't someone post a pic of an explosion a few weeks ago and everyone thought it was photoshopped?

So Michael leaves end of month.
Alice and Joey leave end 2013 (but probably due to Michaels demise).
Kirsty,Carl,AJ and poppy leave early 2014 ( could be a New Year incident or delayed injury death)

That leaves Ava and Sam leaving late 2013... and it would explain why they leave and Dextaa doesn't?

because I wish to express my opinion. I'm not commenting on storylines I haven't seen, that I could understand your issue with, future storylines I can comment on. I watched this show for 20 years, it's always going to hold a place in my heart and I would have thought that most fans would be wanting something different considering there was an explosion around Christmas in 2011. Furthermore just because I'm not watching currently does not mean I never will again. Will that do for you?

You shouldnt have to explain yourself pat - alot of people are in the same boat because newman drove loads of viewers away, doesnt mean people cant have an opinion on something they enjoyed for years

Im only dipping in at the minute but as soon as its sorted itself out ill be back watching full time

Killing off a load of characters with an explosion is better than all of them suddenly deciding they have to leave the square. Hopefully that's what happens.

This time last year Jake Wood said the same thing and it turned out to be some over hyped rubbish.
I have a feeling its an Kat/Alfie xmas wedding and the whole square invited
However I am optimistic about dtc.

I'm glad you're optimistic and I would never take that away from someone who is clearly still enjoying the series and I'm glad people still enjoy it. I however am waiting until something inspires me to watch again. However I better not moan as I may be seen as someone who like Teen Vic Queen plotline - cannot comment, didn't watch, it might have been good but I guess I'II never know.

Lol, it really was an utter embarrassment of an episode, even Neighbours the cheesiest show on 5 wouldn't write that garbage!
