Decent £50 tablet for eReading/Web surfuing (used if necessary)?
I'm looking for a cheap tablet for the kitchen. I'll be using it for e-reading and web surfing but little else. I currently have a NATPC010 (A13 processor) but it's horribly slow to do everything and is basically un-usable. Quite happy to look at something used from eBay, but was hoping for a steer from someone that has successfully found something genuinely usable for £50. Looks, screen resolution and battery life are all unimportant.
TIA for any feedback. |

I read a review that suggested Argos's new £100 tablet is horrible and that Tesco's Hudl one at £120 is far better.
Suspect therefore that for £50 you get something that is far worse than horrible! |

Have you tried Opera Mini in the NATPC ?
It should make surfing usable. |

Seems you can get the Nook HD for £79 new from Very(3 months free credit) or Argos.
Bar the lack of HDMI and GPS it betters the Hudl. £60 minimum is what they currently sell for 2nd hand on ebay At the moment you wont find better. |

You may be able to get the Nook for 50 at isme with a code, reports of success seem mixed.
