I hope the other families are more prominent. I can see the Beales being quite prominent, obviously the Carters too.

I can imagine the spoilers now

Masood gets drunk on Wine Gums and delivers all the presents to the wrong houses. Will everyone get their Christmas Presents on time

Denise runs out of Christmas Crackers in the Minute Mart. How will Shirley cope if she cannot pull her cracker?

And the residents of Albert Square come together in the square for an impromptu Carol Service and they all miraculously know all the lyrics for the songs.

Not an optimist are you Scrabbler

I'm hoping for Beales/Butcher household and Mitchell/Carters (the Brannings can have 2 minutes)

I'm not excited - but DTC has been in charge for a few months now, and is almost definitely going to use Christmas as a big platform to establish and properly launch 'his' EastEnders because BBC1 is the 'go to' channel for most television viewers at Christmas time.

The fact it will cover many families is encouraging because Christmas is about families not family. The problem is expectations are going to be quite high - the cast are certainly talking up DTC's vision for EE at the moment - however the higher you raise expectations, the less manoeuvre you have in meeting them.

Nope I much prefer not to look forward to things because I tend to enjoy them more.
