This has been a great Strictly series for me so far from a punting point of view. Nearly all my bets so far have won! Anyone else had any bets on this series? Winners? Losers?

My bets so far are listed below.

1. Tony bottom 2 in first week. Odds = 1/2. Wins.
2. Tony to be eliminated first. Odds = 7/4. Wins.
3. Julien to be bottom 2 in second week. Odds = 1/2. Wins.
4. Julien to be eliminated in 2nd week. Odds = 1/1 Down.
5. Vanessa to be in bottom 2 in 2nd week. Odds = 5/4. Wins.
6. Julien to be in dance off in 3rd week. Odds = 1/6. Wins.

Who are you betting on for the win?

You actually bet at 1/6 odds? Maybe it will pay out enough to buy Barbie & Ken a cocktail.
Have you tried accumulators...

My bet is on Natilie Gumede to Win it outright. Could be down, but I recon 5/1 was a value price. Now 5/2 best price.

I won a nice easy £50 there! Had £300 on it. Biggest cert ever! I would not normally dream of backing a 1/6 shot, but there was no way that was going to lose.

I've only bet on Sophie to win. I started betting on the winner in 2009, my picks were Chris, Kara, Harry and Louis so hopefully I can do it again this year.

What price did you get on Sophie? Was around 12/1 early doors. Now 7/4 best.

That's the thing, people see great odds and have a punt, but if you're in it to win then often you have to bet against your favourite. I'd have loved to see Natalie win, but there's just no way - she's far too divisive a personality, and there's something about her and Artem together that many people are not into. They're my favourites, but right now it's Sophie's to lose.

2/1, I bet after the charleston week. I always wait until I see them dance a couple times at least, also to see how they come across on the show when they're not dancing.

Reasonable price. Right now I see it as a 2 horse race between Natilie and Sophie with Sophie as my bogey!

Is it not too early for a bet on Sophie though? we haven't seen her latin proper yet.

Also Artem is the best choreographer and has a big fanbase of his own this could swing it for Natalie?

I haven't discounted Ashley yet

In my view accumulators are for mug punters. The only way to win at betting overall is to do singles.

The dancing's not that important - the celeb just has to be a good enough dancer to win. The contenders at this point are Ben, Ashley, Abbey, Natalie and Sophie. The others have no chance.

Of those five, I think Abbey and Natalie will not appeal to voters. Natalie's protected by the dance-off, so if her health permits, I'm sure she'll make the final. I don't see any of the others managing to knock out Sophie in the dance off apart from Abbey (dependent on dance). But they are pushing Sophie as a contender more than they're pushing Abbey.

The boys are interesting because they split the vote in a weird way. Ashley's the better dancer but... maybe I shouldn't say, but he is far too feminine when dancing to get a decent vote. He's a bit of a luvvie, a bit camp in the wrong ways for this show. Ben is not a great dancer but possibly the sweetest man I've ever seen on this show - easy on the eye too. But Kristina is gonna have to work wonders to get him to the final - he's one of the ones that could fall at the last hurdle.

It's an interesting line-up this year for sure, I just can't see past Sophie. The only thing that could go wrong for her is if she doesn't keep an eye on playing down her intelligence. She's quite articulate and I don't think the audience are into intelligence sadly.

Hmmm.....interesting thoughts........

Sophie appeals to me as she is a tiny bit kooky even though she appears straitlaced. I think that is appealing to viewers. Len has as good as told Ashley to man up, so we'll see if that works or not. (He has gained more than 25,000 twitter followers in the last 3 weeks but I have no idea if that means anything)
Ben is lovely but a long long way to go and will run out of time.

Will ponder overnight

I put £20 on Ben to win when he was at 66-1.

I'm up £1300 if lifts and guns win over actual dancing.

Artem is the best choreographer on the show and has a huge fanbase so reckon Natalie could clinch it as long as her back holds out ! (wish I had backed her in the beginning) !!!

My bets for this week.

1. Fiona to be in bottom 2 @ 4/5 (now 4/6)

2. Fiona to be Eliminated @ 2/1 (now 15/8)

What price the double?

They will not let you have a double on such an event as one affects the other.

If Fiona is to be eliminated then she is obviously going to be in the bottom 2.

My bet on elimination this week would be Dave @ 6/1.

Fiona is dancing ballroom and may lift her up the leaderboard

Rachel will have the bounce effect from being bottom 2 last week.

Deborah will do better than last week.

Dave is not very good and the comedy effect is being shared with Mark who is a good dancer and better to watch.

Good luck with that bet, you'd have been better spending your£20 on a romantic meal out for two at your local spoonies but fortune favours the brave

Good points. Mark is definitely on the rise, even if he does have a dull waltz this week. Dave on the other hand is on the descendant.

With some strong leading ladies, I am not so sure Rachel will get a bounce...I can see her back in the bottom 2 along with Debs (or Fiona, if she fumbles her steps again).

This is why I don't bet
