Anyone here with both Mavericks and an Apple TV?

From what I understand is that Mavericks allows the use of AirPlay to send to a television set as a second display now.

Unfortunately, my Mac is too old for this new feature. Is there anyone who can test if services like 4oD in full screen, stream well over to the television? If so, how good is the video quality? Smooth, choppy?

Could this be a great new way to watch catch-up or on-demand TV for those who don't have a set top box?

I wish I could test this out myself. Ah... but I await the retina MacBook Air...
