Indeed, its a common thing that people who have very strong views about someone(either for OR against), are sometimes actually hiding their true feelings about them.

Lets take for example a poster who used to post here a lot but has been absent recently. No names, but his vitriol against Michelle was almost legendary. Possibly to hide the fact he actually adored her, but didnt want to admit it
