Coffee Machine Recommendations?
Ambassador

My trusty old vintage Cuisinart has finally died and I'm in the market for a new coffee machine but the choice these days seems to be massive.

I quite like this Cuisinart one as it has the vacuum flask which will keep the coffee warm, the problem I experience a lot is the coffee simply gets cold too quickly or is served lukewarm

I've considered a Tassimo as I had one previously but the cost of the pods and the quality seems a bit uneconomic and not really 'coffee'

Most stores seem to be obsessed with flogging me pods and nespressos which I don't think are for me.

I like a big cup of coffee so not an espresso maker either.

Does anyone have a good machine they'd like to recommend?

I have a De'longhi Magnifica bean to cup machine. You can vary the strength and size of the cup (espresso to a mug of coffee). Also has a milk frother/heater for lattes.

They aren't cheap, but buying beans is cheaper than pods and you get a better coffee

I've also got a Delonghi Magnifica bean to cup but it sounds like you want a filter coffee machine rather than an espresso machine, in which case the one you have identified looks like it will suit your needs very well, especially as it grinds fresh beans for you.

All filter machines should have a hot plate to keep the cofee warm in the jug anyway.

I have the above and could not recommend it enough.

It does not filter the coffee into a glass jug like most it filters internally and then you just push the mug against the front of it to fill each mug.

Keeps coffee hot, easy to clean, great taste and fairly cheap.

Thanks guys.

Mark that one looks pretty interesting. Might have a trip down to Fenwick and see if they have it in

Yes - we are quite impressed with it.

Use to have one with the glass jug underneath but this one is a lot better (as you can tell by the reviews on Amazon).
