[Game] X-factor vs The Voice vs Pop Idol Live Show 7
Hello everybody, bet you didn't expect me to host tonight's game but here I am.
So last time on this show, we saw the impressive six acts all singing new songs from their favorite themes. But for one act and one mentor, the journey came to an end for Mike Ward who left the competition taking George with him. Tonight is the quarter-final and the famous five are ready to sing not once but twice with Love and Hate.So let's hear it for your judges and the five remaining acts: Jackamakka and The Male Over 25s Jamie Archer Aaron Bayley Wong_Billabong who has no remaining Boys Fireemblemcraze and The Female Over 25s Maria Lawson Alys Williams The1Kuda and the last of The Girls Misha B Good evening all, I am filling in for Pingu who isn't able to host tonight, but you're in safe hands with me as always. ![]() So judges, if you can do so before we start, please confirm your presence. |

Well, this is embarrassing.
![]() Okay, it seems that NONE of the judges are here tonight, so I have come up with an alternative. Below is the songs that the acts are all singing tonight, so if any of the judges do arrive, they can comment on this thread on all of the performances.
Spoiler
And for the viewers, to vote, send me your rankings of 5-1 to me. The lines will close at 8:30pm so you have bags of time to vote and tonight, one act will leave the competition for good. |

Well I think Pingu mentioned it would be on tonight but I guess you judges didn't get the PM in time.

Love
Aaron Bayley *standing ovation* Aaron, that was simply sublime! I love your voice, I loved that performance. That was probably one of the best versions of that song I've ever heard and you just proved how amazing you are. Great job! Maria Lawson *standing ovation* Maria, this song was absolute perfection for you on this theme. Your vocals were strong, but also uptempo and very easy and fun to listen two. Amazing work from you and Roxie this week ![]() Misha B Misha, this was a good performance, but not your best. It seems for me that you have one good week and one not so good week. However, since you have two performances tonight, I hope you can bring it back for the second one. I felt your vocals sounded a little strange tonight, and the raps just didn't sound like you at all. Sorry Misha, but please make that second performance amazing! Jamie Archer *standing ovation* Jamie, I've been wanting to give you a big rock ballad for a long while and tonight seemed like the perfect opportunity for that. And you pulled it off BIG TIME! The theme was Love tonight and I really hope everybody else loved that as much as I did. Great job! Alys Williams *standing ovation* Alys, you had me from the very first note. I was covered in goosebumps, that was phenomenal! I was a little harsh on you last week, but you were fabulous this week and I really hope you keep that calibre with your second performance because it will make you a lock for the Semi Final! Great work

Hate
Aaron Bayley *standing ovation* Aaron, again you delivered with your performance! You really captured the emotion from the song whilst doing a complete reimagining of the song. Roxie said she wanted to hear the more romantic sound of your voice, and I think your vocals for this performance captured this brilliantly. Great work tonight, and I hope you get the votes for the Semi! ![]() Maria Lawson Video wouldn't load...but going off your first performance I hope it was just as good ![]() Misha B *standing ovation* Misha, oh my goodness gracious, that was AMAZING! So much better suited to you than your first performance and I'm really glad because you deserved to be with a chance of making the Final. Fabulous, simply fabulous. Well done! Jamie Archer *standing ovation* Jamie, if anybody is able to turn Taylor Swift into a rock song it's you! The power from that song was bursting out of you throughout the whole performance. And then when you went full rock, simply fantabulous my friend. Amazing, and I really think you need to be in the Semi after that performance! Alys Williams Alys, I liked this performance, but I just didn't love it. You sounded a little crackly vocals wise and I was hoping you would've been a bit more solid to be honest with you. After that first performance, I was really hoping you would've delivered again with this performance...But nevertheless, it was still good...just not great. Good job

Was Jack able to load Maria's 2nd performance now? Because it's loading fine on my laptop?
Back from work - will have a look at the songs and post my lovely comments. |

LOVE
Aaron Ooohh, there's something about that song that should make all the men relate to you, and all the women to want to be with you. Now I don't know if that magic happened tonight cause boy, that didn't suit you. I love RnB but one would need to put a spin on that song to really own it. The rich soulful tone really wasn't for you tonight. Like I said last week, you need to brighten up your vocal and an uptempo would let you do that hope you wow me in your second performance. Maria You worked the stage. Powerful performance. Well Done Misha I thought that was a strong, sassy performance. Misha, you can do any song and still rock it. I could imagine you gliding around the stage giving it attitude and giving it stacks. I didn't spend as much time on song choices this week as I should have, but you still proved that you deserve to go further. Well Done Jamie *Standing Ovation* Yes. Jamie that was excellent! Who picked that song for you? Bravo Jacka! Alyc Im not sure if I liked the song choice, but solid vocals tonight. HATE Aaron Here we go again; i'm starting to get confused, and I think your mentor is confused too about what kind of artist you should be. As I said earlier; you do not have the rnb soul, or a rock voice either. The energy in the vocals really didn't match the guitars etc going on in the background. I didn't believe in that performance. sorry Maria You're the best in your category by a country mile and I think you're definitely going to be in the final. Another sensational delivery and connection to the song. Keep it up Misha *Standing Ovation* Can I just say; Misha B has been here, and Misha B has shut the building down! Excellence on stage. You smashed it mama. Im so proud Jamie That wasn't a good song choice for you at first but I love the fact that you took a well known song and totally changed it up to really suit you. Good job Alyc That was not my cup of tea tonight sorry. I feel like you lack a spark or an excitement about your performance unlike the other acts, and Alyc if you cant excite people I don't think you can win. You need to up your game baby girl, if your make it to the semis. |

Aaron:
Hi Aaron you sexy devil! Oh I love this song. I think in one way this fits that husky voice but it was a bit too deep and R&B for your folk rock voice? I think the tones matched on the lower notes but the higher notes didn’t sound like Aaron at all. I like the song and it’s an interesting arrangement so yeah overall I think it was alright. I think your direction is getting a bit skewed, you’re a soft rock singer (like Jamie but more indie) so you shouldn’t really be singing such a soulful song in such an R&B way. Maria: Everyone loves a bit of R&B pop Maria so I decided to do this song which really fits this direction I’m following with you. At the same time it’s matches the lighter R&B tone Maria has. I really enjoyed it and I hope the public did too! Thanks Jack for the standing ovation! The performance was full of energy, emotion and power. I love fiery Maria! Misha: Misha I was slightly confused by this performance because there was a bit of rapping in it which wasn’t done by you and it would have nice for your mentor to clarify what that was about further. Also I didn’t think the tones matched at all. Nicole’s got this soft sexy girly soul voice, it doesn’t really fit Misha B’s whole urban slight Jamaican vocal. It just didn’t fit in my opinion. Jamie: We’ve saved you twice now because Kuda and I both know Jamie has been one of the top contestants in this competition. Now while the song is a bit cheesy and a bit too nasally for Jamie’s soft rock voice, I think this was a good fit in both direction and other than slight nasally bits a really good fit for Jamie’s voice. I love old school rock but can you find something a bit more contemporary for Jamie next time? Something funk rock? Otherwise good performance Jamie! Alys: *standing ovation* This is passionate soft sweet singing Alys. It even has that slight accent which Alys has. I think Alys has this deep soft folk vocal and I thought that Kyler England has a similar style and vocal to Alys. But the best thing about the song is that it has this catchy beat to it too. Nobody likes songs which are overly repetitive and I’ve tried to find a song which seems a bit more interesting. It was fun, sweet and emotional. Great job girl! Aaron: Much better than your first performance Aaron. I thought that this was a better fit for you directionally. The tone is still not the deep one that you have and it’s a bit American. But a much better fit in vocals, the highs sound like you and the lows are really nice too. Overall it’s a much better fit, it doesn’t sound too R&B. And it’s a nice passionate cover, good job dear! Maria: Now everyone loves Maria when she does the pop R&B stuff but they do also like Maria exposing her vocals a little more. I think this song was perfect for doing that. It’s got this really passionate story-telling element which makes you feel so sorry for Tamia and makes you feel like punching her boyfriend (well I feel like that anyway). I think it really does expose that wonderful tone in Maria’s voice, again suiting her deep softer R&B vocal. As well as that it was so passionate and full of emotion great job dear! Misha: Ms Misha B! Yay! Wow what a choice by Kuda. While the vocal was a bit high and overly girly, this was incredible. The hip hop, R&B it’s all there and mashed up Misha B style. Good song choice and much better than the first one. Besides that, it’s a really catchy song! <3 Jamie: Yay something more current! However, it was a bit too far off in terms of vocals. I didn’t think that suited you too well. It was a bit too soft and way too nasally for you! I preferred the first performance to this Afroman. I like the rock arrangement of this incredibly annoying song though, so that’s definitely a plus, but I just didn’t think it suited the vocal. Alys: I think your voice is really nice in the way that you can do all of these fancy minor runs which make a song sound so mystical and a bit dark. In that way I thought Wicked Game would be a perfect song for you, something a little darker like in Aly’s ‘Is This Love’ while still retaining that soft deep folk Alys vocal. |

So earlier on, we had our five stars all singing twice for the first time with Love and Hate, but for one act, there will be no third chance as the act with lowest votes must leave the competition for good. So let's welcome back our judges the acts!
Jackamakka and The Male Over 25s Jamie Archer Aaron Bayley Wong_Billabong who has no remaining Boys Fireemblemcraze and The Female Over 25s Maria Lawson Alys Williams The1Kuda and the last of The Girls Misha B Well, it was quite an unusual show, but I hope it gets back to normal for the Semi-Final when Pingu hosts again. ![]() Speaking of which...in NO particular order, the first act through to the Semi-Final is... |
