Ian Waite is such a narcissist

A healthy dose of narcissism is needed for performers. Allowing that Ian has some narcissism he's pretty low down the list of pros who were/are narcissistic. Ian maintained a low profile when on the show allowing his celeb partners to take centre stage.

I haven't seen ITT yet but it was a parody obviously and Ian being a bit of joker would have loved playing the part.

I love how people start a thread with a statement of their opinion masquerading as fact - so that's then seen as the thread title, and repetition only underlines that.

Ian - in MY opinion - is a lovely man with a great line in self deprecation and a huge fund of knowledge which he imparts in a fun way, not lecturing like some dark haired women with the initials KH I loved his shoes today, I thought the bright orange soles were actually really useful as they emphasised the steps he was demonstrating. The zooming in feature is great for people like me who know naff-all about dahnce and find Saturday nights are a blur of dry ice and flouncy dresses.

Most people are aware that forums are about opinions. It would get really boring if every thread you started had to have IMHO in it.

Glad most of you liked my topless nod to the comments in the press today. It certainly wasn't my idea but in the name of 'good TV' #bitoffun”

Yup - and that is why we love him

I expect if you don't have a chest like him but wish you had the sight of it might make you a tad irritable!

I really do wonder what's left about SCD that isn't micromanaged by strategists.

Strewth yes, as well as the show which is more like the tour, I wonder if Claudia left ITT for various reasons, among them being her ability to go hilariously off script was increasingly frowned upon.

BIB - crumbs!! Sorry Im a bit late responding. Yes I have only been watching for a couple of years (this is my third) so I shall have to go off and check out You Tube see if there are any clips on there. You have made me curious now!

In partnership with Natalie, Ian Waite is 50% of the best pro pairing Strictly has ever seen and his departure left a gaping whole in SCD that has never been filled . It took me less than a second to realise what the topless thing in the green room was all about so it is a shame others were prepared to jump to conclusions without knowing the relevant facts

I think you probably have to be an exhibitionist to be a dancer, but I do find his showing off a bit annoying. He even prances round behind Zoe after his item has finished.

Plus, his clothes look like they're 2 sizes too small.

Yes, quite frankly the way he was goofing around with a friend and interrupting the vitally important "that's it for tonight" blurb made me so incandescently angry that I put my foot through my TV.

Then I put my OTHER foot through the first foot.

Then I fell over.

I thought he was dancing behind Zoe as a joke and to tease her?! Anyway I have just spent a pleasant half hour watching some clips on You Tube - including two of him dancing with Darcy. Lovely to watch.

Oh my goodness, some people on this thread need to lighten up. It was clearly all a bit of fun!

I applaud anyone who can laugh at themselves, which clearly Ian can.

Thank you for reminding me of that moment, laughed my socks off. How funny that he had another moment tonight as apparently baby George had his 'Coronation' today Bless him

I agree posiepebbles, I miss him too

Zoe clearly loves it too. I could watch him all day. Such a lovely dancer. As Ian is the king of Tango, it is so disappointing that his iconic Tango with Zoe Ball is only on You Tube from the Live Tour. Very little of Zoe and Ian's dances. WHY!

You never know, it could have been the likes of Brendan or James to have playfully suggested it to Ian (they are known for a particular sense of humour and have also had their fair share of stick from the same elements of the media). I wouldn't put it past Natalie Lowe either.

Probably more to do with an enforced absence due to maternity leave, the BBC realising that Zoe Ball had done a more than reasonable job as a stand-in (and probably meshed better with both the celebs and the pros), as well as giving the programme a much-needed refresh.

Love Ian. Didn't think it was rocket science to realise that he is taking the piss and very tongue in cheek. Whenever people have a strong negative response to someone who isn't a bad person, it's usually as a result of their own issues. Considering the physical state of most men Ian's age, I can imagine that there are many envious men (and women when they look at their own squeeze lol) out there!

I always think he looks impeccably dressed. Slim-fit is the current style, as far as I know.

I loved Ian with Denise Lewis and so wanted them to win, but I found his partnership with Zoe very irritating and I still do but I guess my problem is more with Zoe than with Ian.

Not nice I know, but I was very glad that they were voted out in 3rd place showing that they had least public support of the 3 finalists.

Still devastated about Colin tho

Narcissism is a personality disorder and diagnosed by experts .Not a word to be thrown at anyone who annoys you .
I love Ian , can see how he might come across as tad full of himself . I dont think he is at all but if someone thinks he is then say so and dont throw the word narcissistic around lightly .
