I think Ian is great and I miss him when I see the show without him. He was wonderful when he was dancing on saturday nights and a perfect partner.
I do like him on ITT and I guess he's doing lots of other things to keep him busy. He's witty attractive and easy on the eye to boot.

I think some, if not maybe all the Pros, are prompted to do stuff on the show (like when Ian had his top off on ITT) for what ever comical value the producers thinks it would offer. The show is taking the p*** of itself as much as we are, and the embarasing elements or things that look vain or silly or pointless inclusions altogether are prob just apart of the fun of it. I doubt Ian is any more vain than any Pro on the show that has bared skin (top or bottom) for whatever enteratinment value that the show calls for.

I think Natalie is a bit too classy to appear topless

Last year she was photographed attending some event prior to SCD starting and she was wearing a completely sheer top and no bra. To all intents and purposes she was topless. On last year's show she wore the teeniest pair of knickers for one of her latin dances with Michael (forget which) and it incorporated a lift that ensured they were on display.

narcissism is not reducible to personality disorder and that is only one reference of the term, a relatively recent one at that!

narcissism is gratification through self reflection. we all have traits of it, and its a component in normal healthy development leading to realistic self interest. the capacity to love others grows from the capacity to love ourselves and it is an essential part of achieving a balanced understanding of our strengths and weaknesses.

narcissistic personality disorder is an extreme, distorted and pathological form of narcissism, characterised by a grandiose overestimation of one's abilities and a need to be admired by others. it is best diagnosed by google. or by looking around the forum, come to that....

Happily, as we all know, he is just as capable of sending himself up as any grounded, brilliant dancer with a wicked sense of humour could be.

And he has proved that over and over again with his celebs and has earned our love and respect over the years!

Who misses him? I do! He is absolutely fabulous ”

^ ^ ^ Me. And all this, I still miss him and agree completely.

I love Ian and apart from Matthew Cutler is the only pro dancer I was gutted when he didn't continue.
His choreography is always entertaining or spot on for that weeks' style.
I loved hin and Zoe. At least I get an Ian fix every Wednesday. But I'd be over the moon if he came back.

The trouble is that some people cannot see that, and take him seriously.

Never really liked Ian, even when he was pro dancing on SCD
Now when he mucks about with his Wednesday spot, I find him as cringe worthy as Bruce Forsyth (and THAT IS saying something)
Prefer straight talking Craig and Karen Hardy reviews

Anyone who can do the training comments dressed as a spider really does not take themselves seriously at all.

'Twas a thing of beauty indeed and put many soppy grins on many faces Not to mention the legendary 'produces her breast' moment.

Oh, and he got some brilliant dances out of them too. Oh, how I miss him in that role ”

I'm really surprised by this thread - I assumed that everybody just loves Ian. What's not to love? He is a fabulous dancer, lovely to look at, never takes himself seriously and evidently gets on with every single one of his celebrity partners. I loved his rapport with Jodie Kidd and the 'breast' moment is indeed legendary (at about 6.20 into this clip).

Well, it seems the vast majority are defending him, so all's right with the world.

Thanks for posting the link - I was a bit worried I might have given some of the newer Strictly viewers some strange ideas about what he'd done with Jodie

Were you thinking about this one, Poppy? I still think she's a classy broad, whether her top is, ahem, a bit sheer or not.

I'm sure that black top looked quite normal when it wasn't lit up by the glare of a powerful flash gun.
