Free books on Kindle
Buffalo Man
24-10-2013
I installed the Kindle software to my computer last week, and it came with three free books: Treasure Island, Pride and Prejudice and Aesop's Fables. Anyway, to get to the point, I was given a Kindle recently and today I tried to transfer said books to my Kindle, but I'm having trouble doing so. Could you please help me? Thanks in advance.

P.S. There is a fourth book which I bought from the Kindle store which did appear on the Kindle; however it's the other three books I'm having trouble with.

These 3 books are all still available at Amazon.co.uk for free. The easiest way is to go there, find the books, and send them to your new Kindle. You can do it directly from the device or the browser on your computer.

Thanks, have now done so.

There is a folder on your Kindle called Archived items. It should contain books that you bought from your account, but that are not on the device. You can download them from there. That should have worked for what you needed, too, but I forgot about it, because I do not need to use it a lot, twice so far maybe. Next time check that, too.

Hi,

I don't know if you are aware that there is a website called www.dailyfreebooks.co.uk

This website has loads of free stuff and you can search by Genre and by amazon only. You click on the download now but if Amazon is selected on the left hand side and it will take you to the Amazon site. Just make sure that the book is free and then add to your Kindle.
