Thought I would give it a try today. Just tried my first slice with butter. The taste is really different to normal bread. Ive another 7 slices to get through, what can I place on it to mask the flavor? Will toasting it make it taste better as well?
Unsalted butter. Possibly creamy things. Cheese, particularly sweetish ones like Jarlsberg, Leerdammer. Or European style with cheese / something meaty or smoked (ham, salami, smoked salmon) / and or something pickled (gherkins, sauerkraut).
