I'm not a Lisa fan but some of the comments about her weight in this thread are a bit cruel.

I've never been to the SCD Tour and don't really intend on but I can't see too many DS posters rushing to buy tickets now. I wonder whether Kate left or got axed?

Another 2 tickets here that will not be bought I thought she was supposed to be an actress, how long is she going to milk Strictly for!

Or because she's not that busy, she'll be cheap to hire?

Don't have strong views on her one way or the other but I saw her in Strictly Confidential and she was fine. Nothing to get precious over.

I was gutted that I didn't get tickets but now I can see that it was a good thing!

So who from this year will be next year's 'people's champion'? We've had Widdy (bleugh), Russel and now Miss Funnity Fun - wonder who will take on the poisoned chalice next year?

Kate Thornton has been the most regular host of the tour.

There was one year she shared the job with Amanda Byram (Kate did some dates, Amanda did others), and one year Zoe Ball did it (I think it was the series 8 tour, as it was the one before Zoe took over ITT?).

In previous years when Kate hasn't done it there's been a reason (other commitments), which is why Amanda and Zoe have done it as well, but Kate has, to me, always been the main tour host with Amanda and Zoe as 'substitutes' (similar to how on a Saturday Tess is Bruce's 'substitute' and Claudia is Tess' 'substitute').

I wonder if Kate declined and they asked Lisa, or if they've dumped Kate in favour of Lisa?

Poop! Hubby was actally thinking of getting me tickets for this one. Maybe i'll nudge him in the direction of Pasha and Katya's tour (as I heard they're doing another one) instead. They're likely to do a closer venue to me too.

We went to the show the year that Zoe hosted it and to be honest I loved it so much. Don't be put off, its a fabulous show, I'm sure she won't detract too much if you're not a fan.

Honestly would some of you really not go to the live show because Lisa Riley is hosting? You're there for the dancing, surely? Pathetic.

Honestly, we complain about ridiculously high standards of beauty being pushed at us, and the pressure to be thin giving young girls and boys eating disorders, but resort to cheap jibes about weight when faced with someone who is not the perfect size zero.

Dislike her by all means - her personality is a bit OTT IMHO - but don't resort to snide comments about her size.

ok, before I say anything, I want to make it clear that this isn't a homophobic comment. It's just what I have observed, so don't string me up!..... A lot of gay men seem to love...and get on well with..larger than life, in all senses, ladies like Lisa. Which is why Craig loves her and she continues to be a big part in Robin's life.

Me and the hubby have tickets for the live tour. Got his hopes up when I told him it was Rachel Riley hosting the tour. Only realised I'd told him the wrong Riley when he seemed a bit too happy about it! Oops.

Think Lisa will be really good at it though.

Looking at this year's celeb lineup I cannot see many contenders for the Tour anyway.

Possibly Natalie and Mark - but only if they have no acting jobs lined up after Strictly ends

Ashley will be back on Hollyoaks - Patrick will be back on Casualty, Susanna will be on Breakfast News and Rachel on Countdown.
These shows have had to shake up their schedules to accommodate their taking part in Strictly - they are hardly going to let someone disappear again for 3 or 4 weeks to Tour.

OK - for Countdown, Nick will be currently filming Apprentice, so neither of the presenters are available now, so they will have to do some serious catching up on shooting episodes in early 2014.

Tony Jacklin is retired, Vanessa has Radio shows (although could feasibly tour as she could use local BBC studios near venues)

Deborah and Fiona have businesses that they have left to do Strictly, so they would need to commit their attention - plus I would imagine Dragons Den may be shooting early 2014.

Abbey would have to be away from Hubby and family solidly for several weeks so not likely, especially if Stoke are fighting relegation - the PR would be horrendous if he lost form.

The only possible way I would buy a ticket is if Mark is doing the MC Hammer Cha-Cha, but with travel, parking etc you don't get much change out a hundred quid all told (for 2 of us) and that is not worth it.

Does anyone who has had tickets before, know when they get posted out? I bought a couple as a Christmas present and was hoping they would be arrive before then, but I'm now wondering if they don't get sent out till January.

After this news they may need the first 5 rows to widen the dancefloor.

In London you're talking about £150 for two and that's a lot of money. I'd want to see some really good dancing for that so I'm waiting to see who's taking part before deciding whether it's worth it or not. And having funnityfunfun hosting it doesn't encourage me in the slightest!

It depends on the ticket agenc and the venue.

If you got them from either Ticketmaster or Ticketzone then probably not.

If you got them direct from certain venue box offices then there is a chance (The Ticket Factory for Bham are an example of quick turnarounds).

I booked tickets for the O2 on presale from Ticketzone and they arrived yesterday.
