Possible bad news for anyone with tickets for the tour...

I have to admit I had been considering getting tickets but decided not to when I saw Lisa was hosting. I'm sure she's a lovely person, but I don't particularly like her hosting style and having seen the show live I know how important the host is to the show ( I saw it in Glasgow the night Chris Hollins hosted because the regular host was sick - he was great)

My tickets for the O2 Saturday Matinee arrived last week - I booked them on the first day bookings opened.

I think the collective DS memory of annoyance at Lisa's sustained overmarking last year is clouding reality and causing some people to lose their sense of perspective.

She's one part of the tour, not the whole tour. She does have presenting experience (You've Been Framed) so she's not "just a soap actress". People who have seen her in Strictly Confidential have said she's fine and not as OTT as she seemed on the show last year.

If you don't rate the quality of dancers likely to be involved, or you've seen her in S. Confidential and didn't like her presenting style, fair enough. No one is holding a gun to your head to buy tickets. But she's not the Antichrist (that's Widdy, obviously ) and acting like she's personally stamped on your kittens due to a memory of her behaviour in a situation where she was almost certainly being egged on by the producers to project her persona even more than usual, to the extent of not buying tickets to a show you were looking forward to is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

And yes, some of the comments about her weight and appearance are OTT and uncalled for.

And I say all that as someone who never voted for Lisa and was happy to see her leave - but she hasn't ruined the programme and all its spin-offs for all time, no matter how melodramatically some people would like to believe otherwise.

I think more people are likely to go because Lisa is presenting because for some reason lots of people like her.

If you got them from either Ticketmaster or Ticketzone then probably not.

If you got them direct from certain venue box offices then there is a chance (The Ticket Factory for Bham are an example of quick turnarounds).”

Some of the other women also have young kids (and spouses)

Think that Sophie is very unlikely as, apart from being away from her family. she has an album launch at the start of the new year. Besides, Brendan isn't touring so if she did go, she would need another pro partner.

She was on This Morning today talking about it. Pip said "what a great gig to get". Indeed!

One thing that intrigued me, as she talked about her Mum dying just before she started Strictly, "I didn't want people to vote for me because of feeling sympathy for my Mum dying".
As if! It's not X Factor, it's a lighthearted Dance/Entertainment show.

the tour is just under 4 weeks I believe so not a huge amount of time plus they get many of the days off as there is only evening performances, matinees only occur at the weekends - Denise VO toured and she is has a young child and was married at the time

very true

Im just pointing out the celebs with young children and husbands DO tour, just because they have a family doesnt mean people should automatically assume they wont tour

I think Deborah will tour, she mentioned it on twitter.
Also someone asked Aliona if she was touring and she replied definitely not with a 2 fingered emoticon

Craig Kelly lasted for eight weeks on "I wanna go Bwackpool" rather than his... ahem, dancing talent. John Sergeant lasted however long he did partly down to the judges' treatment of him. Matt Di Angelo survived the dance-off over Alesha Dixon - who was almost twenty points above him - because he broke down in the middle of his dances.

The sympathy vote doesn't just work on Simon Cowell's shows.

But the media would have a field day !! and Abbey does not deserve that sort of thing just for loving learning to dance - especially if Peter C lost a bit of form on the pitch - I'm sure Stoke pay him WAY more than Abbey would get for doing the Strictly tour.

If it was out of football season, I could see her doing it but would be unwise move on her part to be away from home February / March time.

Peter Crouch plays for Stoke City - he is a VERY tall striker - was in the VT with Alijaz week 2 (IIRC).

Footballers WAG's can (unfairly) get a lot of abuse from fans or sports press, and after Xmas the teams "under pressure" will be under the spotlight - so anything and everything that can affect a players form can be pounced on.

The tour is quite early in the year, so may not be an issue.
