Does anyone know what recording restrictions bbc & itv hd have if any when transfering hd content from the hard drive of this machine to blu ray disc. I am thinking of getting one for next year's world cup so I can keep the games on blu ray.

you have to convert the video format, I then believe that you can transfer hd once only, but you should be able to download the manual which will give you all the information you need.
http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_G...239/index.html
should give you the download.

ITV and Channel 4 restrict you to one copy - but there's generally no restriction on the BBC recordings. In order that the sound works on all bluray disc players you do have to convert from the original format (DR) to another (HX etc)

Why doesn't the sound work on all from copying a DR recording to Blu Ray disc?

Because of HE-AAC encoding used by the BBC.

Use the conversion mode to pre-convert the title to one of the H* modes then high speed copy ... or copy in real time to one of the H* modes, then the sound will work.

Does anyone know of a cheap webcam which is compatable with the BWT735? I already have a camera builtin my Samsung TV so don't require a £100 Panasonic camera.

Success! Connected by wired now not WiFi My WiFi goes via a signal booster & that could have caused the connection problem.

Hoping this thread can be used for general questions about this model.

I bought one a few days ago, all fine other than frustratingly the EPG guide doesnt let me serch for a programme or a category of progammes eg movies

I tried the ROVI guide but it simply comes up with an error when I try to access it.

Has anyone successfully used it?

Installed Rovi to try it, you have to enter first 3 digits of your postcode then service you want listings for Virgin Freesat etc Then it seems to go pear shaped,I wanted Freesat listing it showed Loading icon revolving & revolving &....... I deleted the app reinstalled & it went to the installing icon without my having the option to change list.
Tried reinstall from TV menu, when icon clicked went straight to the loading page which it appears to be locked onto
Are you readiing this Samsung?

Switched on Sunday morning started Rovi & there's the Freesat Menu
Entered Cowboy into search & a list of all programmes connected to cowboy listed so it does work

Hi all,

My ps3 has just died, and I was looking at getting one of these in the future anyway, so thought I may as well get one a bit sooner! can this thing play content off external hard drives? what formats can it play? what format does the drive need to be? I have tried to find the manual online but cannot.

Many Thanks in advance

Yes, but no fault of the recorder, this is due to the broadcaster.

I've found its programme starting slightly late but has started recording on time, solved it by manually adding minutes to record time
