I should add that I cannot explain quite why it is not working. I have tried using two separate iOS devices to the remote access and I have also tried using two computers. On each device, I get to the stage where it says "Accessing the device", at which point nothing further happens and, ultimately, I get a session timeout error.
On those very rare occasions that it failed to work for me previously (once or twice) this was the issue I experienced. The problem did not, however, persist for more than an hour or so on those occasions and I thought it was a result of a slow connection on the remote device.
Panasonic's technical support told me that I should effectively restore factory settings on the device, which I did. This has not cured the problem, nor has deleting my remote access account and creating a new one. I can't understand how there could be a particular issue with the device as, side of it being brand-new (I only bought it at the end of March) it still accesses the Internet appropriately itself, with streaming from online services working perfectly and it is still working perfectly as a source device for DNLA capable equipment via Wi-Fi, so it is responding to external signals. Any thoughts would be of great assistance to me.
I have to say I haven't noticed any particular issues with blank sports in recordings I have made, but there are a bunch of overlapped recordings that I haven't watched yet. If there are issues on these, I will update you John.
