I like Sophie but that chacha was a bit overmarked imo. 8s
I don't think that the Latin dances are her strongest suit (Abbey also falls into that category) . She also seems a bit reserved on the dancefloor and doesn't connect with the audience.

This chacha was my least favorite dance from her .

It seemed to me there were a lot of undeserved ❽s tonight.

I don't think Sophie's latin is any better than Abbey's and in fact I would go as far as to say that I think Abbey's is even better!
I don't get any feeling from Sophie's and much prefer her ballroom (and of course the wonderful Charleston)

I think her position on the leader board was about right but that was her worse dance so far

I agree.

Sophie just proved what I have been saying abut her all along - she's exquisite to look at but danced like she is a million miles away and on Mogadon.

No hip action, no fire, no expression, zero emotion. You can't just keep dancing like a beautiful shop window dummy and expect to beat competition like Natalie and Abbey.

True .

Yeah, I actually agreed with Len. While it was fine technically, there seemed to be no enjoyment in the dance.

"Reserved" is exactly the right word.

I like Sophie but I have to agree with this, she looked unsure and tentative tonight. I know being cool is her 'thing' but it doesn't really work in the Cha Cha, I wanted to see her cheeky side. Agreed with what Len said. Not worth a 30 imo.

Sophie's not a Cha Cha kinda girl that's for sure! But would you really have had her lower than Fiona?

Wrong score, right position.

I agree, so why do they try to soften their comments when the judges critique ? I do think she has been consistently over marked...... With the exception of the Charleston.... Shame it's not a ballroom dance !

she looked like she went wrong a few times tonight. either that or she was playing it so cool that she could barely be bothered to move...

also, she seems to have really tiny feet, which can't help..

BIB I really like her but sometimes I have a hard time connecting with her when she dances. Her dancing is all a bit " emotionless" for me; Well, except her Charleston.

I agree with all these remarks. I love Sophie in ballroom (and her kooky Charleston), but she looked lost out there on the dance-floor. I'm no expert (under-statement) but it looked as if she went wrong, or at least forgot what she was supposed to do next, on more than one occasion. Her stop-start dancing wasn't on the same level as Patrick's, but there was a similarity, and I'm surprised the judges didn't pick up on it. A poor effort tonight from one of my favourites.

I really wanted to like Sophie but I'm so over her now. She approaches every dance in the same way and it's boring. Her samba was overmarked too.

True, but Fiona was even more grossly over-marked, IMO.

I do like Sophie, but tonight she looked like she didn't know if she was coming or going. In the beginning, I really thought she'd forgotten the routine.

I had definite Victoria Pendleton flashbacks and she got a much harder time from the judges. Sophie was just as unsteady and lacking in performance as Victoria, but I guess Sophie remembered the routine.

I loved it. I could watch her all night.

She didn't do a lot wrong, apart from that one messy turn. But the dance certainly didn't suit her, and unfortunately it showed. I would have thought 7's all round would have been fair.
