I really dislike Brendan's dancing style. It is so distinctive and exhibitionist, all 'look at me'. In a situation like this where your partner is less confident it only serves to emphasise the fact. Brendan's dancing is much more about showcasing himself rather than his partner. This really stood out tonight in a weak dance for Sophie.

I do like Sophie, but tonight she looked like she didn't know if she was coming or going. In the beginning, I really thought she'd forgotten the routine.

I like Sophie but I have to agree with this, she looked unsure and tentative tonight. I know being cool is her 'thing' but it doesn't really work in the Cha Cha, I wanted to see her cheeky side. Agreed with what Len said. Not worth a 30 imo.

Sophie didn't have any confidence and it showed in the dance. I thought the music choice didn't help either.

Cha Cha didn't suit Sophie but her overall position on the leaderboard is right IMO.

![]() I don't think that the Latin dances are her strongest suit (Abbey also falls into that category) . She also seems a bit reserved on the dancefloor and doesn't connect with the audience. This chacha was my least favorite dance from her . |

I really like Sophie but yeah I found her Samba and Cha-Cha quite overmark.. more so her Samba. i think her Cha-Cha was more of a 27-28. These dances definitely don't suit her as well as the Charleston and Foxtrot but at least she got them out of the way.

I suspected Sophie would have a problem with Latin. Her samba was not great but it was better than her cha cha. I like Brendan and Sophie but her cha cha was weak and yes she was over marked.

![]() For a few terrifying seconds I was expecting replay of that god awful Cha cha that Victoria Pendelton did last year

According to the leaderboard, Sophie was equally as good as Fiona. As I think she was better than Fiona, I cannot agree that she was overmarked.

Sophie is a definite contender as she is improving. Natalie is fantastic but years of training help her. Sophie is taking some risks and trying Brendan's great choreography. Her cha cha is not her best, but is miles better than fiona, rachel, patrick and ben. To have marks similar to some of them is not realisitc. Perhaps judges r not consistent in their grading

Weirder than the total overmarking (which I was expecting) was the decision to have that limp, underwhelming mess as the last dance of the night. I mean I know Natalie can't have the pimp slot every week (but imagine the uproar if she did. It'd be great) but there must have been a few more exciting dances than that.

She needs to get the salsa out of the way soon, then she'll have a decent run to the final.

she looked like she went wrong a few times tonight. either that or she was playing it so cool that she could barely be bothered to move...
![]() also, she seems to have really tiny feet, which can't help.. |

I don't think Sophie's latin is any better than Abbey's and in fact I would go as far as to say that I think Abbey's is even better!
I don't get any feeling from Sophie's and much prefer her ballroom (and of course the wonderful Charleston)

The dress seemed to point like an arrow to her knees, not the best thing for Sophie.

Loved her Charleston, but since then she seems to have lost her spark. She just seems to go through the motions without really feeling it. She is a good dancer, but I am disappointed.

I still think Sophie is coasting along on the back of her (admittedly rather good) Charleston.
It's as if, once you've done one excellent dance, you're seen as one of the good ones even if your cha cha is a hot mess. Which it was, quite frankly. Actually, her foxtrot was okay as well. |
