- BEN - has there been a more gorgeous Strictly contestant ever? I enjoy that he no longer looks petrified and seems to be having fun now too.
- Abbey could go all the way. She has an endearing personality, a delicious looking partner and is really growing into the dancing, I like her!
- I worry that Ashley will end up like Scott Maslen and his schedule will just end up getting the better of him. Thought his jive was overmarked.
- Sophie was also overmarked. She was walking around for most of that dance. I like her "too cool for school" dancing face though.
- Rachel makes me sad. She obviously loves the show so much and Pasha (as much as I love him!) isn't really helping her out; he's been too lucky with his partners before, I feel, and doesn't seem to know what to do with someone who needs more work.

1) A table has NO place in a Viennese Waltz, not even if it has wheels.

1. Dave - as a very grumpy man from Manchester once sang 'that joke isn't funny anymore' - worst still, it was boring.

Thinking about the paso this week - am I along the right lines in thinking that rhythmically, Hall and Oates' Maneater would have been a better fit?

On your points 3-5 I am so with you.
1) Show went downhill after Nat and Abbey
2) Too much faffing - I agreed with Len

Thanks for starting this thread. I was out last night so have just watched the show but haven't read the thread. Here are my 5 Thoughts:
1) No stand out moments at all this week so nobody really impressed me - I think some of the celebs and pros are looking hacked off which may have caused the show to fall flat.
2) Rachel's face was certainly interesting. I feel sorry for her because she is essentially not in the showbiz/performance industry so credit should be due for when effort to improve is made.
3) Another disappointing fast latin dance from Sophie but with Brendan they make an excellent partnership and I reckon they will make the final two.
4) A nice improvement from Fiona. I can't see her lasting any more than two weeks now but it's been nice to see Anton with someone decent.
5) I still rate Abbey and Ashley as strong contenders who come across well and would rather see them outlast Natalie. Susanna still does nothing for me though even though I want to like her.

No matter how irritating you find someone, wanting them to break their ankle or wishing ANY sort of injury on them is just horrible and despicable. For the record - Susanna is a lovely person if you actually meet her, regardless of how she might come across on screen.
Also, Ola's choreography is kind of quite good actually. Part of Strictly is teaching the celebrity to dance to the best of their ability, and Ashley has always seemed quite nervous to me. Perhaps she'll step it up now he's gaining confidence.
