Yes, I noticed that too. He's my favourite pro and I always look forward to seeing him in the pro dance. I've liked him since the first time he won with Natasha Kaplinsky. Each year I keep hoping he gets a chance to win again - perhaps it will be this year.

As matter of fact there are 2 spellings of Brendon and Brendan. I have checked with him and he doesn't mind either.

Everytime I watch Downton, I get a shock when Brendan's name comes up ..... it's amazing what a good job make-up and lighting can do nowadays. You'd almost think they weren't the same person. And Brendan even manages to conceal his limp as he quicksteps and jives his way round the floor.

Why do people find it so bloody difficult to spell his name?!

I think he comes across quite well these days but I don't like his dance style. As someone said in another thread 'he is all bum and chin in the Latin dances'. That sums it up absolutely perfectly.

I think the year that he had Kelly Brook (and with some partners before that) he was annoying at times. I didn't find him annoying with Lisa, but then people for whatever reason found her annoying instead so the attention seemed to switch onto his partner as opposed to mainly him.

SInce he's had a string of poor/average dancers, which have been quite a few since Lisa (wth Jo, Michelle and Victoria) he's become much nicer, either due to marriage, or maybe he just got bored of being the show's so called 'bad boy' (which was part of an act prob, even if some elements were truly there. The act exentuated it I think). Either way, he's much more palitable now.

The main thing I notice about Brendan nowadays is how he seems slightly bent (in the body). Maybe I'm imagining things, but even when he's dancing relatively upright, he seems to have a slight bannana effect with his body. It's no problem at all (before anyone jumps down ny throat) its just a mere observation. He's very long so maybe the bend just looks more obvious because of that (and prob only obvious to me).

I must admit in the early years of Strictly really disliked Brendan but he has changed, getting married has certainly mellowed him out (well done Zoe) and he is a really lovely guy, he is a great dancer and choreographer and in no way creepy at all!! I have been to a couple of his live tour shows and he ALWAYS makes comes out to see fans, chat to people, have photographs etc he really is a changed man and he is now my favourite current male pro on the show

What Brendan should realize is that we have been watching him for 11 years now and what we considered cute when he was 26 makes him look faintly ridiculous now he is approaching 40.

So what is it that used to be cute but is now ridiculous? Do elaborate.

Brendan and Artem both have very distinctive dancing styles. You can pick them out of the pack immediately. Love them both.

Brendan used to annoy me at lot with the whole clearly put on stage managed "bad boy" routine but over the last few years, he's really changed and now I like him. He was very sweet with Jo wood, coped with mad Michelle and managed not to strange bloody lulu. He deserves someone like Sophie now

Lulu and Victoria did suffer unfortunately, but Sophie seems to be just about managing to cope with him so far.

Brendan should have had a medal for putting up with Lulu.

I think Brenda's fab.
I want to see him dance the Rumba with James.

I'm sorry to have to correct you, but it was Lulu that deserved a medal for tolerating his lack of patience.

Brendan annoys me because he has never had a fuller figured celebrity partner.

So he could be fattist.

I agree with that. They command a presence as well.

Christ! is there anyone more contrary than you, anything to be different and get the attention which you seem to crave so desperately!

Lulu was a total nightmare, apart from behaving thoroughly unprofessional, she showed herself up to be a nasty piece of work, and proved to everyone just what an ugly, horrible old crone she is.

I don't know much about Brendan to dislike him. As a dancer, I think he is very good. I thought he had a lot of patienc with Victoria Pendelton. Poor thing, when he was partnered with her, he really thought he was on to a winner. He really thought she would be supple and would be able to lear quickly, but he soon learnt.

Yes I think Brendan has become more patient as he has got older. I liked Victoria myself and had high hopes for her but, like Rachel, it soon became clear she was just not going to become a natural dancer. He did show a lot of patience though and he tried his best. In fact, more so than Pasha with Rachel, who gives her complicated routines and then looks displeased when she doesn't get it right. You just can't tell on first impressions who will turn out to be a good dancer.

As for Lulu, I don't know how he kept his temper, she was a nightmare.

I agree - I wanted to slap him when he was partnered with Lisa Snowden but he was grace under fire personified with Lulu and arguably coped with Pendledrama pretty well too - I am now a fan and I'd be happy if he won this year.

I always got the impression Lulu thought she was gods gift because of her established reputation as a singer. Yes she was a nightmare. I am surprised he didn't walk out.
