I think the year that he had Kelly Brook (and with some partners before that) he was annoying at times. I didn't find him annoying with Lisa, but then people for whatever reason found her annoying instead so the attention seemed to switch onto his partner as opposed to mainly him.

SInce he's had a string of poor/average dancers, which have been quite a few since Lisa (wth Jo, Michelle and Victoria) he's become much nicer, either due to marriage, or maybe he just got bored of being the show's so called 'bad boy' (which was part of an act prob, even if some elements were truly there. The act exentuated it I think). Either way, he's much more palitable now.

The main thing I notice about Brendan nowadays is how he seems slightly bent (in the body). Maybe I'm imagining things, but even when he's dancing relatively upright, he seems to have a slight bannana effect with his body. It's no problem at all (before anyone jumps down ny throat) its just a mere observation. He's very long so maybe the bend just looks more obvious because of that (and prob only obvious to me).
I found his sulking over his marks with Lisa incredibly annoying and the fact he had the nerve to critise the judges for undermarking her jive on ITT the week when he worked the system but putting all the eggs in her waltz basket to keep her in at Austin's expense for an Austin fan like me - it was adding insult to injury. Lisa was annoying - it wasn't her fault but she was a bit too desperate to be liked and over-emotional.

I think it may have helped Brendan that James has taken over the stroppy bad boy slot. That said I kinda of feel in love with him for coping with Lulu so well and for admitting that although he was singled out for breaking the rules in Broadway week that year when other couples bent or broke rules too it was a fair cop because he'd done it persistantly in the past and they hadn't - I respected him for admitting that.

I always got the impression Lulu thought she was gods gift because of her established reputation as a singer. Yes she was a nightmare. I am surprised he didn't walk out.
I seem to remember that he did walk out in a strop at some point, probably because the camera was more drawn to Lulu than him, I don't think that his ego would be able to cope with that.

I don't really remember that, but fair enough you do, and it sounds just like Brendan so I'll believe you on that. My main memory from that year was that she was getting stick alot on the forums (kind of like Kelly Brook got) and he was just a happy smitten man that was engaged to a pretty fiance (that had been presumed by some to have been part in softening him up). Even Tess congratualed him after Lisa and him had danced and I remember he said he was a very "lucky boy" and he was just beaming... I suppose from being in love. But I certainly remember the random moans he's had, like when he did that odd one about Craig why spoke like he did despite being from somewhere in Australia (begining with B), but just can't remember the series year at all. Obv I'm aware he and Craig are actually friends despite the Strictly banter and it's just heat of the moment stuff sometimes.

Was that the year he had the meltdown on the show?

It's funny how you can get the wrong end of the stick I thought him and Craig didn't get on and then I saw pictures in "Hello" of Craig at Brendan's wedding and realised that a lot of what goes on between them is banter or possibly the kind of candour that can only exist between people who actually do get on - friends argue heatedly sometimes just as couples do.

Hello and welcome belmontbabe, poor Lulu was traumatized by being paired with Brenden but she coped well under the circumstances.

Very well summarised. A shame about the dancing and rude behaviour. I seem to recall she was the only one who didn't turn up for the final show, without any explanation being given.

Did you read her comment before replying? And welcoming the OP to her own thread is interesting, to say the least.

Brendan (Where's The Camera) Cole really annoys me. He is the only pro-dancer who irritates me.

He just does not seem to understand that the one and only reason he is there, is to nurture and support the celeb.

It is not the Brendan (Where's The Camera) Cole Show.:yawn::yawn:

You put my thoughts into words much more eloquently than I can DiamondDoll , it is a shame it's not different and that he hasn't been able to learn from his mistakes.

I love him :] He's so funny when he throws a hissy fit over marks.

The biggest egotist on Strictly is the the smug, smirking Tony Beke. I have never seen a face that looked so slappable.
I'd say Kristina. Her constant crying when she isn't the center of attention in dances is annoying!

I like him. He's supportive of his pro and I think his dancing is superb. I could watch him for ages. Easy on the eye. too!

And it's Brendan!

I must admit the "hissy fits" are amusing.

But I remember him being very supportive of both of those partners - not that Lulu appreciated it

I also remember him being supportive to both of them. Lulu of course was terribly rude to him when the partnership was announced so I don't think she was worth it.

He doesn't irritate me and I think he is a supportive partner. He sounded croaky tonight. I would prefer him not to interrupt the judges as it does him no favours, but during the judges' session when he interrupted to say they had gone off beat, I wondered whether he was trying to explain a problem and show it was his fault and not Sophie's. Maybe he was not well and they lost time because of him. Just a thought.

Seemed a bit weird that he picked tonight to thank all the costume and production people, when they'd picked tonight to go "Ah bugger it, just give her a red jumpsuit and staple a leather seat cover to her arse".

He comes across as a bit of a whinger.

I was saying yesterday how much he had calmed down with his temper tantrums far fewer and put it down to him being happy in his marriage and having his baby.

And then he started moaning at the judges on Saturday night.

I had started to warm to Brendan this year and when all the dances were going well, he is fine...but the 2nd dance on the trot not to go well...he starts to interrupt the judges.

He wasn't moaning, he was just saying what had happened.

Brendan's Brendan - he can't resist thinking about having a go, but he didn't follow through.

I'm fond of him - I didn't like him much to start with, but I feel like I've watched him struggle and grow up a bit.

He's a wonderful dancer and some of his choreo is great - some not so much.

He's a fixture to me, and I would miss him if he wasn't there.
