Agreed- very well done Brendan.

I think Sophie executed it well too, but she seems naturally somewhat, how shall I put it, self contained, so it may be difficult for her to put the amount of expression into a performance that the judges are demanding.

I agree, and I think they should've been higher on the leaderboard.

If Sophie had just had a little more tension in her upper half and some smolder in her attitude, I think they should've topped the leaderboard.

They could be in danger tomorrow.

I think they were undermarked tonight. It was a lovely piece of choreography, executed well, and I can't believe Len really thought Ben's performance was on a par with Sophie's. And I thought Brendan was very supportive of his partner.

Yes, that is it. I was trying to formulate in my mind whay it wasn't quite there, and you have described it. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it though.

Puts into perspective, doesn't it. Yes there was something lacking (as above) but not something so huge that rendered it on a par with Ben.

But Sophie is so very self conscious, she never really lets go. The dance was mostly Brendan twirling around her, and it had very little of the AG between the leg flicks. Compared to Karen Hardy and Ramps, it had as much sex appeal as the Clangers.

Didn't see any Brendon on screen tonight, so you're welcome to think him creepy.

Brendan was there, performing a brilliantly-choreographed routine with Sophie who always seems to be composing a shopping list in her head while dancing. She may be creepy, if you like, but not the pro Brendan.

Each to their own.

I always think there is something not right about his bum when he dances although I cannot say exactly what is wrong.

Me too. Have been every year and he is totally great. What a guy. Love him to bits rather than all those insipid Eastern Europeans who add nothing - oh, other than great dancing!

Well, he bleated last week and I am sure he will bleat again this week on ITT re negative comments for Sophie.

The judges are not being nasty, they all gave the same comments. Beautiful lines, lovely routine but no intensity. I wish he would accept the comments with some grace.

Unfortunately his ego will not allow that.
Not that I'll know because I'll be f/forwarding when Brendan Where's the Camera Cole is on IT2.

He sticks his bum out so far you can rest a tray of drinks on it.

Someone described him as like an ostrich trying to lay an egg.

In Brendan's case wouldn't that be an emu?

I loved how much Brendan's little "Undermarked!" speech seemed to offend and embarrass and offend Sophie.
