I sometimes get my sister an Apple app store gift card for her Christmas but was just wondering whats the difference between an Apple app store gift card and an ITunes gift card.

nothing, they both just add credit to your itunes account (which is the same as an app store account).

Like one shop I want in to they had the itunes card on offer yet the app store one wasn't.
Yet they are both the same how does that one work.

As someone said above, the difference is really just marketing. What if you want to get a gift card for someone who has an iPod Classic or a Shuffle? You'd probably want to get an iTunes card. Or, they might have an iPhone but aren't that into music. So an App Store card might be more suitable.

Ultimately though, when the recipient redeems the card (using either iTunes on a computer, or iTunes or the App Store on a mobile device, it adds the credit to the Apple ID so they can use it however they like.

If anyone wants itunes credit untill the end of today, WHSmiths have £40 for £30.
