no but it would hilarious if it were Kev from Essix. If they were from there they could have Kev'n'Kaz on the windscreen of their car.....but she'd have to dance in white stilettos.

To whom are you referring?

Kevin started it - so used to it now that it sounds weird if people say 'Kevin Clifton', it's just not the same!

It's great to celebrate where you come from anyway. He's proud of it, let him show it

It was funny the first few times. Annoying now.

Bruce says it because it's on the Autocue. It's obviously not Bruce's suggestion because this week after his said the "from Grimsby" bit he then commented on it and said "I don't know why?".
If the Autocue says Kevin Clifton, that's what Bruce says, like here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cjEVO3PH48

I think Kevin's lovely - I've warmed to him a lot since the start of the series.

When he has his glasses on, he looks just like Brains from Thunderbirds!!

I'm loving Kevin and I think he makes a great addition to the pros.

I don't know what it is about the BBC and its patronising attitude towards the North as though coming from Grimsby is inherently funny. At least Bruce no longer adopts a cod northern accent in mimicry of Tess. Although all that nonsense about twerk last week was a bit of a backward step.

I like him and think he might have been a suitable partner for someone a bit more delicate. I find Susannah a big lumpy. I really want to like her but just cant.

"Big lumpy" or bit lumpy?

I like Susannah so maybe I am biased, but I like their partnership, and she seems to adore him.

the last person offended by Kevin from Grimsby is Kevin

I have been to Grimsby. It seems like a great place to come from.

Trust me it's not.

However I do find the whole " Kevin from Grimsby" thing patronising to everyone from Grimsby ( like me).

It's supposed to be "funny" I guess, we had a fairly lengthy discussion on it in this thread a few weeks back

Not sure if you're being serious and correcting me but think TOWIE and that's where Essix is. Sarfend is in Essix fr'instance innit

And yes, I do know it's Essex, thanks

Wait, Kevin's from Grimsby?

Yes, but I was referring (in the original post) to a possible usage of stereotypes by Sir Brucie (ie patronising the North) and I randomly meant/mused if he were from Essix (sic) would he have a modified windscreen,

Tell you what I'll just give up on this one and live in my little random world....

I think I am done with Kev from Grimsby.....yes he is a lovely fella but the pairing with Susannah is mismatched and I just dont find his choreography or his dancing anything special.

Maybe it is purely down to his partnership but they now just seem such an out of kilt pairing and they are overmarked and over praised.
