Take some mashed potato, mix in a bit of flour and water to stiff consistency, roll out on a floured board and cook on a griddle or in a pan until browned. Serve with a little butter and plenty of salt. Delicious.
A recent rerun of Keith Floyd in Ireland on BBC2 showed how to do it.

No, that's a different thing. Real ones are made with potato flour.
A weekend fry up isn't near half as good without them. I don't know why you are having difficulty finding them though.
Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury, Morrisons, M&S, Iceland all have them.

I've never heard of potato flour but I do see it's a thing. I can guarantee that the vast majority of home-made fadge is not made with potato flour - it would be a pointless interim step.

I was under the assumption that potato flour was very fine like corn flour and rice flour - a starch. If that is the case then it wouldn't suit making a scone/pasty. I may be wrong though.
I would have thought the traditional and standard was boiled potato with added flour.

I've used it in the past for thickening soups and things though it can be used to make potato bread I'm told. I wouldn't use it for potato cakes.
The Warburtons ones have only 17% potato, whereas my homemade ones are about 85%.
