I would think so, yes.
On another note, He has the same odds as Dave and worse odds than Rachel (she is 80/1) and has no chance of winning IMO.

I think Mark is lovely. He entertains when he dances and the partnership with him and Ivetta is great chemistry hope they go a lot further.

Thank you. I've never bet on anything in my life except Red Rum to win his second Grand National in 1974, which he did of course! My then boyfriend laid the bet for me but I might have a little punt on Mark.

They're terrific. Every dance has been different, different story, character, a whole feel and energy... I haven't voted for them yet because they haven't needed support to stay in but as it thins out, Mark (and Patrick, while he's here) are getting my five votes

I love Dave as a personality but last night was the first night I didn't vote for him. I divided my votes between Mark and Ben (I loved Natalie but thought as she was at the top of the leaderboard she wouldn't need my boat). Ben has grown on me because he has the right attitude and is genuinely learning to dance from scratch and Mark (my new favourite) puts in the most enjoyable performance every week. Right now I want Mark to win the series.

I know! My Daddy was a gambling man - I just didn't follow in his footsteps.

Another big fan here in fact they are my favourites. He is a great actor & I was pleased when I found out he was on Strictly. He has been better than I could have hoped. The gentleness & pathos in his expression at the start of the waltz brought a tear to my eye.

They are my dark horses to make the final, but one drop into the dance off will be the end of them.

I'm not so sure of that. I wonder how many votes Mark & Iveta are polling? If they are popular - and there does seem to be quite a number of the silent majority (?) giving them the thumbs up in this 'ere thread - should they happen to find themselves in the dance off, would TPTB necessarily get rid of them?

Guess it could depend on who they're up against. Let's hope it doesn't happen - I so look forward to seeing them every week, and I'd love to see fefster win his/her £2k!!

I'm a fan too. He has such an expressive face, great when he's all dimply happy, and very puppy dog when he's sad. A real cutie. He can dance, definitely not the best, but I hope he goes quite far in the competition.

Problem is that when we get down to the nitty gritty there is a chance of him being in the dance off even with the highest vote, it would depend on the places & votes of the others. Anyway let's hope he sticks around. I would love to see their show dance

I love Mark & Iveta's partnership, her choreography and his performances... but I don't realistically see them winning. I would be happy with them at least getting to Blackpool, though, which seems feasible.

Mark and Iveta are one of my favourite couples. I love their partnership and how Iveta choreographs the perfect routines for Mark. I also love the way Mark continues to get better every week and he genuinely surprises me with his dance ability and his ability to play the perfect character every time. I really hope he gets to stay in for many weeks yet as I look forward to his dances every week.

I have to admit I'm the kind of awful person who only ever picks a real contender as a favourite and doesn't really watch Strictly for the "journeys" of the lower and middle tier celebrities (Michael Vaughan's transformation into decent ballroom dancer? Couldn't care less.) but I vote for Mark. He's completely won me over. I just love his gentle humour and quiet charm and Iveta's choreography has been perfect for him.

He and Iveta are such a surprising but wonderful partnership. They clearly have a real fondness for one another. She seems to be responding to his warmth and humour while he respects her work ethic and is determined to do his best for her.

I think you hit the nail on the head there. He's not the greatest dancer, but he can certainly sell a routine. As Craig said, there is an honesty about the emotional content, even some of the pro dancers struggle to achieve that to the same degree.
It's no doubt down to his acting ability, but he's using that to great effect.

I think Mark and Iveta are a great team, they seem to come up with something original and entertaining each week.

To me, this is what winning Strictly is all about, it's not just about being the best dancer, it's all what has been said in those two posts.

I'm really glad to see such support for Mark & Iveta. I've certainly voted for them from week 1. I think Len was right a couple of weeks back when he said that Mark "gets it". He adds value to his performance with his fine acting and comedy skills whereas Dave, IMHO, thinks he's being an absolute scream AND dancing, when in fact he's looking a bit of a plonker and has trouble putting one foot in front of the other. Mark is the gentle giant - I like a man with a bit of humility.

Mark is a bit of a new mix for Strictly. His great at acting and can really feel the music and the dance. He is better at moving than the technical side of dancing.

Years ago Mark would have been criticised more for his lack of technique and Iveta's choreography would have been dismissed for lack of content in some of the dances.

This year so far, three of the judges have been OK with the dances Mark and Iveta have done based I presume on the entertainment.

I'm sure a lot of the public are OK with the dances too. I love the 'Salsa' in particular and have watched it several times. It just leaves you feeling good.

Iveta has surprised me with her versatility and she has used Mark's acting and moving skills very well. I'm sure she would be very good at teaching technique and she did get some good technique from Mark in the Tango and the Waltz.

They are providing some very memorable dances this year.

His kids must be proud - they have a cool dad.

They are my favourite couple this year, he is funny but can also dance. And he has tweeted me twice so I love him even more. I think he is a sweetheart and I love Iveta.

I don't get the love for Mark.

The dancing is extremely basic, and yet he is consistently overscored, there was no chacha in his chacha and i don't find anything endearing about his constant gurning.

Len seemed to think there was plenty of cha cha moves in that dance, Len has his critics but knows more than I and many of those critics do so i'll go with his word.

Mark does pull faces but generally only where it's part of the character they've created or channelled. Each couple needs a USP and his is that he can combine characterisation with some effort and progression (this is where he scores well over Dave for me).
