HI all

Is the Humax hdr-fox t2/1tb-g PVR truly HD as it makes reference in the additional info as 'up scaling' not sure if this relates to the HD tuner or up scaling the Standard TV to make it better ???

http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/product...0096#more-info

Would really appreciate any views people have,

Kind regard's and thanks for your time

Regards

Pedant hat on. It doesn't have an HD tuner. Or for that matter a SD tuner. It has two tuners nether of which are HD or SD. The HD or SD is determined by the video decoder circuit. Pedant hat off.

Yes the Fox-T2 is HD, if it is receiving an HD programme of course. Upscaling is only relevant to SD programmes. Th Humax can either throw the original resolution image at the telly to let it do the upscaling. Or you can set the Humax to output a fixed 1080 resolution which means it has to upscale SD.
