Should EastEnders do Dallas and pretend everything was a dream?

Should EastEnders consign the whole Berridge era to a character's subconcious and make it all one big dream (or nightmare ). It might save EE. Characters like Barry could make a return (and when did Roy die?).

It may give EE a bit more credibility as Den's resurrection would have all been a dream.

I'd like to see Paul's death not really be true, I actually liked the character, and the actor.

Agreed- great actor and completely wasted. They had really begun to do great things with the character then they decided to do a complete u-turn with him for some reason. I at least wish they hadn't found the body.

I don't know why they had to kill him off anyway, unless it is part of the laughable gangster Andy's downfall. EE has axed some characters that it shouldn't have in the past year or so - Kelly and now Paul - but seemed to drag its feet over getting rid of the Ferreiras. I feel sorry for the actors who play that family actually, they were given total rubbish to act with - although only the actor who plays the eldest son is actually any good I suppose!

Making it a dream would probably Kill EE rather than save it!

I think that is what he wants. Neighbours had a dog that had a wet dream anyone remember that?

Absoloutely not, the "it was all a dream" scenario would kill it completely. No, all soaps have their dodgy patches and EastEnders has come through a bad one, changes and repairs are being made and the show is already getting better.

Was that not where he dreamt he married the other dog? That was number 14 on the Greatest Soap moments on 5!

I think it woulde be brilliant for it to all be a dream. It'd get the viewers excited.

I don’t think I could handle Sid Owen’s attempts at acting again!

But on the plus side – No Dennis Rickman would be utter bliss!!

It'd be too difficult getting everyone and everything back to how they were. Sets would have to be changed, and actor's contracts negioated if they were to return.

Be good if it could happen though.
