My cousin and two friends (all females) are auditioning for Britain's Got Talent next year, but they can't think of a name for their band.

They all have soulful, old-fashioned voices and their image is based on the 50's, 60's and 70's.

Please could you help them by suggesting realistic names for them.

They are 18, 20 & 21.

Not all of them lol, although thinking back, they were more for a pop/rock band than a soulful/RnB girl group. I'll try to think of some, can't be any worse than the awful names that most groups seem to choose on these talent shows..

The 50s, 60 and 70s are all very different. How can their image be based on all three? Unless one member represents each decade? That would be interesting.

Anyway, I think they should call themselves The Lemon Sherbets.

If they get asked why they are called that they should say "Cos we're sharp, tangy and very, very yellow."

I was wondering that myself, aside from "soulful voices" I can't picture what they'd be like.

I love the reasoning behind The Lemon Sherberts

What I meant by their image is based on the 50's, 60's and 70's is that they love music from them eras and they used to do gigs for themed events such as 50's, 60's and 70's.

I will put your idea across to them about having each member represent each decade.

That was just a random thought. Maybe a better idea would to have them change it up during the performance. So they could start with a 50s song, outfit change, sing a 60s song, outfit change, 70s song and possibly even go into 80s and 90s? Britain's Got Talent seems to love those sort of performances and they really need something to stand out.
