I know it's extremely premature, but which celebrities do you want to appear on next year's show or which celebrities do you think will take part in the show?

Michelle Mone has indicated a few times on her Twitter she might do the show in the future. I believe she was asked this year but turned it down because the business was undergoing a massive upheaval with her buying her ex out.

I actually think it's also about vanity with her and she wants to get more fit and toned before she goes on prime time in skimpy dresses every week and who can blame her?

I'm trying to decide if the Friday panel are going to provide celebs. Both Jenni Faulkner and Anneka Rice have been on the panel, so I'm wondering if they're considering it.

God, we're not even halfway through this series yet and you're thinking of potential celebrities for the end of next year? Get a life.

Well, seeing as you just came in here to whine about a thread rather than actually take part in the discussion, I reckon you could be the one who needs to get out more. Just sayin'.

Far more trivial issues about current and past series and a lot else besides discussed on this forum on a daily basis. Can't see a problem with a bit of forward speculation personally, and at least it is not personal and on topic.

I am unfortunately familiar with the phrase "extremely premature" Ryan, Joan Collins is still on my Strictly wish list though.

I often enjoy seeing the ones who have moved on to other things than what originally gave them public exposure, either from necessity or choice. So I'd like to see someone like Daniel Newman who was acting on TV a lot until about five years ago with regular and one off parts in various series and is now working as a personal trainer. Be interesting to see how someone like that combined their performance experience with the experience gained in their new career.

I think this one should be in the 'Celebs never going to appear' but I would seriously seriously, LOVE F1's Mark Webber to do it. He's retiring at the end of this season ... I live in hope !

Mark Webber is a great suggestion for Strictly latinloulou, thank you.

With Charlie Brooks seemingly leaving EE for good perhaps she is a possibility?

Why not, I think we should also consider 2015 and 2016. There must be celebrities doing the same thing themselves.

I reckon Jess Ennis will do 2016 to tie in with the Olympics.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he's going into Porsche racing.

Every year I hope that actor Phillip Olivier will be a constestant. He is super fit, and won the Channel 4 show, The Games in 2005.

Michelle Collins wants to do it next year.

She'd be with Robin, obviously!

For all those FMs giving poor Rachel grief, Carol Vordemann would have a certain bitter irony about it.

She did it already. And it was not, IIRC, a pretty sight.

The same Carol Vorderman who gave us this monstrosity back in 2004?

I have no idea who he is and I looked him up on google and I still have no idea who he is.

I honestly don't think he's high enough profile.

I know she has her flaws and detractors, but there is something about Stacey Solomon I find endearing. Just seen her win £20k for The Alzheimer's Society on "Tipping Point " , coincidentally Rachel R. was a fellow contestant. She even offered to make good the money she gambled to go for the jackpot at the end. I would quite enjoy seeing her on Strictly.

This series must be bad if we're already looking to the next one

Not at all, I think if we want good contestants ( by whatever measure) they are likely to be busy and need a good bit of time to engage. I don't know how influential we are in who's asked
(though I can think of a few that were discussed one year or more before taking part) but it is certainly no use waiting till next season is nearly upon us
