Wow no mention of Alesha [as a contestant]?
Best partnership ever and during the golden years of the show when we had proper dances with content etc. |

If I had to pick one moment it would have to be Mark and Karen's Argentine Tango. Even now when I watch it back for the umpteenth time my eyes are still fixed to the screen.

His total transformation - first AT done by celeb - music or just one of those routines when everything just came together at once? |

I don't think it is my stand out moment, but I adored everything about this waltz by Jodie and Ian. The dress, the song, Ian's beautiful choreography... sigh.

Loved it - what made it so special as many appear to agree?

Katya and Pasha's dance with Cara Emerald.
The group dance in series 5 for Rememberance Day with the guys in uniform Austin and Erin's jive - especially the version danced in the final. Michael and Natalie's jive. Kimberley and Pasha's fusion. Matthew Cutler's version of the dance to Girls Aloud in training, with Carole Smilie giggling in the background. Bacofoil, obviously

Harry and Aliona's AT, because I hadn't even noticed he was on the show until that dance.

Another vote for Harry and Aliona's quickstep! Absolutely loved it and wish I owned Aliona's dress!

Off the top of my head.
Jill's Jive. Marks Salsa. Matt DiAngelos A.Smooth. John Seargent (overall, and probably for wrong reasons). The 'Rebel Yell' Pro dance. Rachel Steven's A.Tango & Rumba. The beautiful Pro V.Waltz in Blackpool (can't remember the year). Flavia and Vincent's Pro A.Tango routines. Tom Chambers showdance (kudos to Camillia for not going down the usual showdance route). Kara OVERALL. Sophie's Charleston. Probably loads more, will have to scower youtube. |

Scott and Natalie's jive
Tom and Camilla's showdance Alesha and Matt's cha cha cha All 3 of those had me standing up! Bacofoil, though...definitely the stand-out-for-all-the-wrong-reasons dance for me. |

Couldn't agree more. I can't deal with the shade Alesha gets as a contestant on this forum is it because she was a judge and some people were not happy about that?

Matt & Aliona's American Smooth. The judges hated it, I loved it. (So did Arlene, which just totally reinforced for me that they shouldn't have replaced her with Alesha)
Louis and Flavia's Showdance. Again divided opinion, but I loved it - I don't think I've ever watched a dance so may times on playback!! |

Kara and Artem's American Smooth at Blackpool. Choreography on a totally different level for this show.
Louis and Flavia's show dance. Lisa & Brendan's bacofoil show dance, and Colin & Erin's puppetgate horror. For the lols. |

Karen and Mark's Argentine Tango. It gave me goose bumps and made me cry. I was desperate for him to win. It is the only occasion when I really, really cared and voted copiously.
They had never scored a 10 and Karen at that stage had never done an AT before. The dance was a winner (excellent 'alternative' track, well choreographed, recognisably an AT, understated, great outfits - they ticked all the boxes) and I was certain then they had it in the bag and then Karen's reaction. Blimey I am getting misty eyed just thinking about it. |
