Surprised to receive a call off Orange today after cancelling my contract with them on Monday. I missed the call but seems odd they should wish to try to win me back now - when they showed no interest on Saturday.

They were certain they couldn't give me a better rate on the now discontinued unlimited data packages so I said I'd leave... I'm just puzzled why they care now.

The ironic thing is I've just moved to T-Mobile which is hardly like I've taken custom away from EE.

Yep, I agree, Vodafone are known to be prone to doing it too.

I remember cancelling 2 other Three contracts I had, they never called me back.

What happened to the days when Three would give you contracts for pennies?

Yup. Retention deals don't exist anymore with Three. (unless it's a cheap crap phone)

They're really cutting back on costs as much as possible in every single department.

I left Orange and went to Three about two years ago. The reason I moved is down to the fact my Orange signal went from great, to next to nothing when they merged with T-Mobile. I lost my patience with them and bought myself out of the contract, that's how hacked off I was.

I would move to Three.

the future if bright, the future is... Three... I see a lot of good press coming to Three next year, especially with free 4G improving coverage greatly and hundreds of new masts being added.

The thing with Three though is that they promise all this unlimited free 4G but when all customers with a 4G phone go on it the speed will be so slow! Its really just a marketing scam and people are falling for it.

Hmm - they rang on Monday but never got back to me after I missed the call. Can't be that keen.

Lots of people using it compared to the other networks.

lots of people use their 3G network too, almost 10 million customers and I get consistent speeds of around 27Mbps from the mast near my home and I am in London.

Three will have around 1.5 million 4G customers on launch, if anything it'll speed things up on both their 3G and 4G not the other way around.
