Any recommendations please on cheaper tablets suitable for use in the classroom. Two of its main uses will be letter formation and picture taking, inside and out.

I have narrowed it down to 3 options recommended in a local store - Asus Memo Pad HD 7", HP Slate 7" and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 or3 7" - and have since read many reviews, just struggling to make a final choice, but leaning towards the Asus at £129.99.

I'm going to be getting a tablet for my 5 year old son (christmas present) and have been going through the various choices.

Prior to the release of the Hudl, I was primarily considering the MemoPad HD, but its spec isn't quite as good as the Hudl.

Reckon the Hudl is the best of the lot, with the Galaxy running second.

Picture taking indoors on any of these will require a lot of steady hands.
