Den Wasted Oppertunitys....
Ok so Les Grantham made his own bed at the BBC with the web cam business but there are so many oppertunitys they missed.
Before he returned the BBC lured his mistress 'Jan' back to give Sharon the painting, she helped him escaped and he said she was his 'one true love' so why since his return has he not been to see him, there could of been great conflict with Sharon and Chrissie. Why they never brought her back i don't know. Also now the rumours of Kathy coming back why did they not try and pursade Gillian to return before, would of been great if Den had a fling with his 'best mates misses'. When Den came back there was no talk really of the old days and stuff - There should have been more conflict with Den and Pauline - think they only met once! So many missed oppertunitys. |

I agree about the Jan story, they really should have explored it more. It really sums LB's time up when you look at that whole situation. His character had no story anymore, he was back from the dead and so what? No one cared and it's only now that we're seeing how he ticks that people are starting to like him, becuase he's interesting. Still though, no point clinging to the past.

There was alot missed out when Jan came to give Sharon the painting she was trying to tell her something but left without doing so then Dennis went to see her and she told him how she helped Den escape why they did not bring her back after that is beyond me.

There were a lot of wasted opportunities. Although I think bringing him back was a massive mistake from day one, once he was back they should have used him properly, he spent, what seemed like months, wandering around with his hands in his pockets apparently bored doing nothing. I completely missed the Jan storyline, but it does sound like something that could have been persued and developed, unfortunately, like so much under LB it was dropped so they could rush onto the next 'explosive' storyline. It struck me the other day that if Sharongate had happened under LB, instead of it being a slow burning storyline that built for ages and had a genuinly fantastic climax, they'd have moved from Phil and Sharon sleeping together to the whole exposure in the Queen Vic in about 4 episodes and then rushed onto the next thing with little or no consequences or fallout.

!So deary me, she must of had a brain then to know what to do with a storyline, goodness knows what happend to her during her time as exec though. I pressume it has something to do with a certain Mal Young. |

I think EE is made up of a whole series of missed opportunities. I hope some decent scriptwriters are employed who can bring back the drama to the programme. Spend money on employing the best instead of contemplating spending Ģi million to re-employ Ross Kemp.

I think EE should go back to its roots and concerntrate more on quality then quantity.
It's all about looks and sex appeal now with soaps........they have all almost lost their sparkle.

[quote=lala]But the scary thing is.......LB was working at Eastenders during the whole Shorangate storyline
![quote] LB was working at EE during the whole Shorangate storyline, I am telling the true. She was series story editor and JY was story editor, so she was JY boss at the time. That was the first big storyline she worked on. |
