Older Characters on EE...Positions Vacant!
Dot, Patrick and Cora
That is the over 60 representation in EE, compare that to Corrie and Emmerdale is minimal and Neighbours who has a smaller regular has two with Lou and Sheila. EE needs to bring in more- potentials would- Linda Carter's Mum and Dad or one of them Sharon's Birth Father Denise and Kim's Mother Sadie's Mum or Dad Harry Beale or an older Mitchell There is definately an uneven demographic in EE at the moment. |

I agree, there should be an older Fox or Carter, maybe they could bring in both of Shirley's parents, assuming they're alive? It would be nice to have an older couple in the show, and it would bring us two older people.

I would prefer Sharon's Birth Father- she really needs some family now or Ava Fox...
More Carter's and it will be the Carter Show! |

1 Bring back Mo
2 Bring in the Carter dad or one of Ian and David's uncles. 3 females 2 males would be more than enough. Billy, Phil, David and Carol will be in their 60s in a few years time. |

They can bring back Aunt Sal in a regular role along with her husband, and maybe some children.
They need to give Sharon something to do so a family member might be good. |

I say bring in Clive Mitchell and his two Sons, strengthen the Mitchell Clan, because without more Mitchell's, the whole idea of the Mitchells being the Boss Family will sort of become a tad laughable, Phil and Billy are the only male Mitchells left and they don't even count Billy as one of them so...

Harry Beale for me...he could then reveal he is actually Sharon's Birth Father which would give Sharon a bigger connection to the Beale's as then Ian, David and her would be all be cousins...

Mo should be reinstated as a proper character. She shouldn't be a big player - she was never cut out for it - but her presence would be welcome as a background character.
I would love Sharon's birth-family to be introduced in some way. It just seems like the most sensible next step to take in the saga of Sharon's life. I wonder if Sheila White is still working? |

I would prefer her Dad rather than her Mum and maybe a Brother too.

A male relative or long lost friend of Patrick would be nice, someone with a bit of character.....Cora was turning into a good character but has been slowly turned into a miserable grump..

For older characters I'd like to see Ada Fox, Mo Harries being brought back full time and Harry Beale introduced.

There aren't many I agree, but what about Babe and Stan? And Mo (who's a regular again now I guess)? Corrie barely use their older characters these days other than Ken and Deary!:P

Older characters should not be background filler characters- they have just as much right as the younger characters to be in major story lines.

Background filler characters?? Aunt Babe and Stan have been used well. Les and Pam have a big story coming up. Dot will have a lot of stuff coming up when Nick returns. We have Karl Howman joining EE and he's 61.. We also have Patrick's stroke storyline and I'm sure it will come back to the forefront soon. We need more older characters and less younger characters IMO
As far as mix goes, they've got it about right between the older and younger characters. It's the 25-35s that are lacking now. |

They are using their older characters far better now. They used to be on stanby for dishing out a bit of advice now and then to the youngsters, with no lives of their own.
