Eastenders: Bringing Phil back
So he's on the run for serious crimes that will result in jail time. Would it not be best if Chrissy finds information linking Den to the set-up of Phil? I'm sure they could leave Dennis out of it and it would allow Phil to clear his name?

No, I think it would be terrible to being Phil back. He is/was the worst out of all the Mitchel characters that have been used. I thought he should have gone long before when he did.

How can he clear his name? Set up or not he commited a robbery and is guilty. If I remember correctly he admitted the crime as well. I don't see any realistic way he can come back.
Unless he returns as his long lost brother

Eh? there is a realistic way for him to come back. Face the music and go to prison get out in 1 or 2 years for being good. Overcrowding in prisons is becoming a real problem.

Get real people, Bring back Philip Mitchell and I’ll send a 20,000 word Essay to the BBC saying why I think EastEnders should be axed.

I think Eastenders should start a new era, rather than bringing back has-been characters like Kathy, Phil, Sharon, Grant, Peggy etc. They need new Kathy's, new Phil's, new Sharon's etc.
It is not as if the resurrection of Den worked really, is it? That said when KH's axings all happen (the Ferrarea's, Sasha, Juley, Den, Andy etc.) and when others leave (Zoe, Sam etc.) then there won't be too many left in the Square, so I suppose they will really have to bring back some old "favourites" so as it won't be a ghost town. |

Dont really want Phil Mitchell back. Really got fed up with him last time. I cant really see how they could bring him back in any sort of plausible way. Bringing back too many old characters will not solve things in the long run.

Phil catches up with Marcus and threatens to kill him or find some legal loophole to get the brass off his back :P
I don't think we should start a new era, we can but we need the old characters as they were legends in the show. Plus Grants character was never fully finished. |

Bottom line - The CPS won't prosecute Phil because of insufficent evidence. Very plausible

For a new Phil I recommend Shaun Williamson AKA Barry Evans. All we would need would be a head shave, a few days of stubble and a dollup of rouge spread out on his face.
