Nexus 4 Battery Life
Just another thread on the N4 battery life.
Today I fully charged it at 10. Have been out checking emails and doing various things. It's now almost 5:00pm and the phone is at 20%. I've used it for about 60 today and the screen time has been on for just 2 hours (as I've been looking at the time quite a lot). This seems extremely low for me. Can anyone else confirm that less than two hours useage for a cell phone is really poor. I only have the standard data signal on and I've been in the same place with a strong signal all day. I've got nothing else on, no apps, no bluetooth, not even an Internet browser... |

If you haven't already, install this app and follow the instructions. It will help to tell you what you're using all your power on. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...n.app&hl=en_GB Quote:

Hmm...I have a Nexus 4 and this doesn't sound too healthy to be honest. If the issue keeps up, and you are still within your 1 year warranty, I would consider getting a replacement, provided you bought from Google Play.
With moderate usage, mine lasts just about from morning to late evening, so if you're having to switch off everything to get some use out of it, then it sounds like a hardware issue to me, unless there is an app consistently draining the power. |

I've been careful to turn off everything. And I mean everything... So thanks so much!

This is what I wanted to hear. I have had nothing running today and it's just as bad as always.

So thanks so much! ![]() Battery life can drain from rogue apps or screen brightness, but it shouldn't be as drastic as you are experiencing to the point where you are finding it hard to use the device. If you have backed everything up I would consider doing a factory reset and see what happens with battery life. |

I think this explains what's happening and how to fix it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...hlight=battery It's specifically Settings > Location Access > Wi-Fi & Mobile Network Location that is the issue. Turn it off, and it should help. |
