Is he going to be a permanant character? I bloody hope not. He thinks he can do whatever he pleases, to anyone, and get away with it. I don't like Laurel that much but what happened yesterday with her getting arrested and being charged really made my blood boil, while he got off scott free. And it looks like he might be dragging Cain back into his old ways. I really like Cain now he's turned good!

His dad can stay though

So do all of the Dingles (bar Chas) and many other villagers - Adam or Amy to name a few. At least Ross is seen as a thug by the villagers unlike Don Dobbeh Dingle the orphan maker and psycho Cain who also has a few manslaughter on his conscience.

I like him so far, think he has nicked all of Aarons hoodies... I like the relationship with Moira/Cain/Adam/James... can see him dividing the village...some will hate him , others love him! As for Laurel....she isn't whiter than white herself!!

I like him and I think he's here to stay.

This news will undoubtably upset Laurel and perhaps her and Marlon might end up having to move away?

I like the character but sometimes it feels like he looks at Moira the way a new love interest would, the actor must have a fancy for her offscreen.

I like Ross, a very promising character.

And absolutely delicious!

As for Laurel, she should just wind her sanctimonious neck in.

I like Ross, I think he is needed after Cain has gone a bit soft since his pairing with Moria.

I'd love Eli to come back and for Ross and him to be friends.

I cant wait to see Bill Ward aka James Barton a more permanent fixture and to meet the rest of the Barton boys!

At least Ross can act. That's most important for me.

I admit to fancying him very much but we can thank our lucky stars that he is not Robbie.

Dobbeh's role in Gennies death, so Molly is not a complete orphan but is motherless. Also Dobbeh has been responsible for a lot of things in Emmerdale, remember the Vodka incident when Belle nearly died.

Dressed the way she was last night - do you blame him

Any character that can rile up the shrew and the moron gets the thumbs up from me. If the shrew ends up going to prison then Ross could be the most popular character ever in Emmerdale

I'm reserving judgement. Unlike other characters he doesn't suggest that he feels any remorse, and at the moment doesn't seem to care for anyone but himself. The incident with Laurel really was quite violent - yet he seems to have no idea why she'd be upset. That said, I'm sure we'll see a nicer side to him, once his brothers come into it, and we get a clearer idea of how he feels about his father.

Yes but IMO Cameron killed Gennie and Molly is not an orphan, that was my point.
Again, Belle drank vodka that wasn't hers to drink, it's not entirely Debbie's fault. This isn't about Debbie though. It's about Ross and we've already established we will never agree on Debbie

I like Ross so far and can't wait for his brothers to arrive

Guess I'm in the minority then lol. He's just horrible. A common thug, and a chav.

He's a well-rounded, emotionally-complex character, played by a decent actor. Ross could so easily have been yet another panto villain, but I think we've been spared that.

Like Moira, I bounce between hating him and feeling sorry for him.

I'm already interested in what lies behind his difficult relationship with James, and look forward to seeing that being explored further.
